Racing Incident Report
Race Eleven : (495) - TAK KU LING HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1600Meters
Horse No 1 GHORGAN (K199) L Ferraris Made contact with the left side of its barrier on jumping.
After the event, L Ferraris reported that his mount raced too keenly during the early and middle stages and did not finish the race off in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 LIGHT YEARS CHARM (K130) H Bowman Slow to begin.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 BRILLIANT EXPRESS (J321) A Badel Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 8 DRAGON JOY (J278) K Teetan Bumped at the start.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
For a short distance near the 400 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving into a narrow run between GHORGAN and WINNING GOLD.
After the event, K Teetan stated that his instructions were to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages.
He said DRAGON JOY raced a little keenly during the event and finished the race off only fairly and as a result may not have run out a strong 1600 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 EMBRACES (J276) H Bentley Between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.

Horse No 10 PATCH OF COSMO (J357) M Chadwick Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.

Rolling Arrangement The track was not rolled today.

Patch Of Cosmo was wide with cover from better than midfield and quickened nicely to get up 150m out with a step up to 1,600m. Embraces ran on nicely for second after having to switch off heels for a clear run near the 200m following a one-off trip from midfield. He clearly has the tools to win off his current mark. Favourite Light Years Charm ran on steadily near the inside for third after making his run travelling behind midfield on the fence following a sluggish start. It was a pleasing run up in distance carrying six pounds more following a win. Brilliant Express kept on well for fourth after a prominent run wide without cover the entire trip from gate 10. It was a good run with a step up to 1,600m after back-to-back wins. Liveandletlive gradually faded after dictating the run from gate three. He's still acclimatising but has shown progress in his past two runs. Joy Of Spring was getting going late without menacing settling second last from gate 14. He's given a decent sight in both runs off a lengthy break.
