Recap by phillip woo

Firming favourite Stellar Swift settled behind midfield on the rail and got the gaps when required to get up along the inside 20m out for a second win at his maiden Valley run from four starts in Class Four this term. He will need to raise his game with only a third from six earlier starts in Class Three. Beauty Thunder kept on nicely for second after a speed-tracking run from gate six. He can break through at any moment after finishing in the mix in three of five Valley starts this term. Bowser stayed on well for third after a boxseat run. He's as honest as the day is long. Punted late Super Goldi plugged on fourth best after a prominent run one off the fence with cover. It was a season-best performance at his ninth start and first ever at the Valley. Telecom Power made ground with one wider out to finish next best after making his run wide towards the rear from gate nine. He'll be a force to be reckoned with if he can find his way into Class Five. Ace Power ran on steadily without threatening after a rails run from midfield. He couldn't lift carrying five pounds more following a win.

Racing Incident Report

Race Six : (577) - KING'S PARK HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

Horse No 1 STELLAR SWIFT (J139) H Bowman Bumped at the start.

Making the Home Turn was held up behind BOWSER.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 2 TURF PHOENIX (J294) M L Yeung Lay out making the Home Turn.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Horse No 3 BOWSER (H460) J Orman In the early part of the Home Straight was held up when unable to improve between BRAVE JOY and BEAUTY THUNDER.

As a result BOWSER was shifted to the outside of BEAUTY THUNDER where it obtained clear running near the 250 Metres.

Horse No 4 GALVANIC (H147) B Avdulla Trainer C Fownes advised that Jockey B Avdulla was given the option of taking up a forward position if his mount commenced well.

Despite being ridden along in the early stages GALVANIC did not show sufficient pace to hold a forward position and as a result was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 5 BEAUTY THUNDER (J299) A Badel Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 6 CLUB ACE (J523) A Atzeni On jumping was bumped heavily by RICH HORSE and then was crowded by TELECOM POWER which shifted in before being corrected by its rider.

After the event, A Atzeni stated that his instructions were to allow his mount to settle where comfortable and not to make use of it in the early stages as CLUB ACE had not finished its races off at its most recent race starts when ridden in this manner.

He said after being crowded at the start CLUB ACE settled in a midfield position where it travelled comfortably.

He added in the Home Straight CLUB ACE finished the race off only fairly.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 7 RICH HORSE (J191) M F Poon On jumping was bumped heavily by CLUB ACE and then was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 9 ACE POWER (J181) K Teetan Bumped at the start.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 11 SUPER CHARIZZARD (J184) L Ferraris After the event, L Ferraris stated that from the outside barrier his instructions were to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages.

Trainer M Newnham confirmed the instructions and stated that he issued such instructions as SUPER CHARIZZARD did not finish the race off strongly when ridden forward from a wide barrier on 5 February 2025.

Horse No 12 TELECOM POWER (J332) Y L Chung Shifted in shortly after the start, made contact with CLUB ACE and became unbalanced.

In the Home Straight lay out, resulting in its rider Y L Chung changing his whip through to his left hand leaving the 200 Metres.
