Race Nine : (716) - SEINE HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 CHATEAUNEUF (J219) H Bowman Bumped at the start.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 SPICY GOLD (H440) A Badel Shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped by BUNDLE OF CHARM.
Approaching the 200 Metres raced tight between WATCH THIS ONE and BUNDLE OF CHARM which shifted in slightly.
Horse No 4 GOLDEN EMPIRE (E490) L Hewitson After the event L Hewitson stated that the instructions were to go forward.
He said whilst his mount jumped well it did not show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 SPORTS LEGEND (H456) E C W Wong Bumped shortly after the start.

Horse No 6 GRACIOUS EXPRESS (J188) K C Leung Shortly after the start became unbalanced when crowded between SKY CAP and WUKONG JEWELLERY which shifted out.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 VERY GRATEFUL (K396) C L Chau Jumped only fairly.
Near the 1100 Metres was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced.
Horse No 8 WUKONG JEWELLERY (K314) A Atzeni Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
In the middle stages raced keenly.
Horse No 9 WAVE GARDEN (K209) Y L Chung Jumped only fairly and then bumped with WATCH THIS ONE which shifted out.
After travelling a short distance was checked when crowded by SPORTS LEGEND which shifted in and away from SPICY GOLD when that runner shifted in after being taken in by BUNDLE OF CHARM.
Leaving the 1100 Metres was steadied when crowded by VERY GRATEFUL which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider as VERY GRATEFUL was being eased away from SPICY GOLD.
WAVE GARDEN then raced ungenerously in the middle stages and became unbalanced when being steadied whilst racing to the inside of VERY GRATEFUL.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 WATCH THIS ONE (K268) K Teetan After the event K Teetan reported that near the 600 Metres his mount became unbalanced when racing close to the running rail.
He added that again making the Home Turn his mount became unbalanced before giving ground under pressure in the Home Straight.
Trainer P C Ng confirmed that from an inside barrier he had instructed K Teetan to take up a forward position, similar to the manner in which it barrier trialed on 20 May 2025 when it led and performed well.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 SKY CAP (K125) M L Yeung Shortly after the start was bumped and became unbalanced.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Rolling Arrangement Rolling after Race 4 was cancelled due to weather condition.

Punted late Gracious Express travelled one off in midfield and overhauled Chateauneuf with one wider out in the late stages for a second win from 16 starts. The gear change to visors and a tongue tie and return to the Valley 1,650m worked the oracle. Well-backed Chateauneuf found one just too good after claiming the lead 60m out following a wide trip travelling midfield from gate 11. It was another solid effort carrying 11 pounds more following a win. Goko Win just got up for third after a rails run from behind midfield with late betting action. He was able to back up a win last start in a lesser grade. Very Grateful caught the eye when coming from last to just miss a placing. It was an encouraging run on his local debut. Favourite Sports Legend succumbed late after rushing to the lead 250m out following a speed-tracking run. He's at his best when allowed to race freely in front. Spicy Gold kept on one-paced after getting impeded for a run near the 100m following a rails run from midfield. Bunde Of Charm only plodded after a prominent run. He has struggled to fire in 17 outings this term.
