Kingly Demeanor led from gate 13 and kept up a strong gallop to ring up a fourth win and first in Class Four from 16 starts this term. Youth Power kept on well for second after getting all favours in the box seat. He did win two runs ago over this same Sha Tin trip. Ocean Impact ran on nicely for third after a one-off trip travelling behind midfield from gate 14. It was an improved effort wearing cheek pieces after two dull runs at the Valley. Double Win got up for fourth after getting badly held up for a run upon straightening until the 200m travelling behind midfield following a slow start. He's a winner waiting to happen. Yiu Cheung Victory ran on steadily for fifth after a one-off trip from better than midfield. Rosewood Fleetfoot kept on all right after a wide without cover trip from midfield. Without Delay was only one-paced when popped the question after a handy run along the inside. Ping Hai Comet never landed a blow after a rails run from midfield. He couldn't raise his game carrying seven pounds more.

Racing Incident Report

Race Six : (761) - HKU FACULTIES OF ARCHITECTURE AND SCIENCE HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1800Meters

Horse No 1 WITHOUT DELAY (K262) A Hamelin Between the 450 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running.

Horse No 2 MIDORI GIANT (K095) L Ferraris After the event L Ferraris stated that his mount did not travel well during the race and made an abnormal respiratory noise.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 3 PING HAI COMET (H344) B Avdulla After the event B Avdulla reported that after enjoying a comfortable run during the race his mount commenced to give ground from the 300 Metres and he could offer no explanation for its disappointing performance.

Trainer J Size advised that he would now give the horse a let-up having regard to today's performance.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.

The performance of PING HAI COMET was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts.

Before being allowed to race again, PING HAI COMET will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 5 YIU CHEUNG VICTORY (J529) C L Chau Near the 600 Metres was bumped when taken wider by PING HAI COMET.

Horse No 6 OCEAN IMPACT (J502) Z Purton Near the 500 Metres was steadied to avoid DOUBLE WIN when that runner shifted to the outside of WITHOUT DELAY.

Horse No 7 PERFECT PAIRING (J331) J Orman Jumped only fairly and then was crowded between ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT and HAKKA RADIANCE, both of which shifted ground slightly.

Horse No 8 YOUTH POWER (H358) H Bentley Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 9 DOUBLE WIN (H382) M Chadwick Slow to begin.

Between the 450 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running.

Leaving the 50 Metres was shifted to the inside of YOUTH POWER to continue into clear running.

Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when it improved quickly behind KINGLY DEMEANOR.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
