Recap by phillip woo

Celestial Hero dived late near the outside to just grab favourite Little Paradise and Bundle Of Charm for a first win at his third local start. Little Paradise came on quickly through the centre to just miss after getting held up for a run until the 250m travelling behind midfield on the fence. Bundle Of Charm was collared in the shadows of the post after rushing to the lead 160m out following a prominent run on the fence. Super Infinity ran on well for fourth after a wide trip with cover travelling behind midfield. He has run well in nine of 10 starts without winning at this level following a Class Four success in September. Moduleconstruction came up one paced when asked for more after chasing leader Wonderstar on the fence from gate two. He's found it harder in his past two starts after back-to-back wins.

Racing Incident Report

Race Ten : (837) - JOY AND FUN HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters

Horse No 1 MODULECONSTRUCTION (H127) J Orman Shifted out on jumping, made contact with NEZHA and became unbalanced.

Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when racing tight between LITTLE PARADISE and BUNDLE OF CHARM which shifted out slightly.

Horse No 3 CELESTIAL HERO (K363) H Bowman Bumped at the start.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 4 YOUNG SUPERSTAR (J400) Y L Chung After the event Y L Chung stated that his mount performs best when able to lead.

He said given the early stages of the event being run inside of standard time he was unable to do so and this was the reason for the horse not finishing the race off strongly in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 5 SUPER INFINITY (J320) Z Purton Shifted in at the start and was bumped.

Approaching the 400 Metres was bumped by LITTLE PARADISE (L Ferraris) which shifted out.

L Ferraris was advised to exercise more care.

Horse No 6 LITTLE PARADISE (K246) L Ferraris Badly crowded shortly after the start.

L Ferraris pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 550 Metres (see FORZA TORO).

Approaching the 400 Metres made contact with SUPER INFINITY when endeavouring to improve between SUPER INFINITY and LUCKY PLANET.

When unable to obtain clear running LITTLE PARADISE was steadied to avoid LUCKY PLANET.

As a result LITTLE PARADISE then had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 350 Metres and the 200 Metres where it shifted to the inside of SUPER INFINITY.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 7 WONDERSTAR (J531) E C W Wong Shifted out on jumping and was bumped.

Horse No 8 FORZA TORO (K355) A Hamelin Jumped only fairly and then was bumped by SUPER INFINITY which shifted in.

L Ferraris (LITTLE PARADISE) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 550 Metres he allowed his mount to shift out when not clear of FORZA TORO, resulting in FORZA TORO being checked to avoid LITTLE PARADISE.

In accordance with previous practices, L Ferraris was fined the sum of $120,000 in lieu of a two-day suspension.

In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his good race riding record.

Leaving the 400 Metres was steadied to avoid LITTLE PARADISE which gave ground when disappointed for clear running.

Horse No 9 LUCKY PLANET (H235) M Chadwick Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Horse No 10 METRO POWER (K408) A Atzeni Shortly after the start was bumped on the hindquarters when racing tight to the inside of BUNDLE OF CHARM.

Raced keenly in the early stages.

Near the 800 Metres was steadied when momentarily crowded by LUCKY PLANET which shifted in before being corrected by its rider.

Horse No 11 NEZHA (K494) B Thompson Jumped only fairly and then was checked when crowded between MODULECONSTRUCTION which shifted out and away from MATTERS MOST which blundered and shifted out and LITTLE PARADISE which raced tight to the inside of METRO POWER when that runner was taken in slightly by BUNDLE OF CHARM.

Horse No 12 TIER FLY (K311) M F Poon Made contact with the right side of its starting gate on jumping and lost ground.

Horse No 13 WE CAN PARTY (J341) K Teetan After the event K Teetan stated that when he pushed his mount to hold its position near the 1000 Metres he became concerned with its action and when he felt there was something amiss he retired WE CAN PARTY from the event.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a small laceration to the left hind leg.

The performance of WE CAN PARTY, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, WE CAN PARTY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments.

Horse No 14 MATTERS MOST (K154) P N Wong A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
