Following a conservative ride fifth last from gate 11, Bulb General quickened nicely near the outside to win going away 200m out for a first win after a smart debut third in February and subsequent colic surgery. He has a promising future. King Oberon ran on well for second after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He's in good form following a win and a second at his past two starts in Class Five. Straight To Glory stayed on well for third after tracking the leader Romantic Party from gate 10. It was an improved effort at his second attempt over 1,200m. After firming late in betting, Riding High just missed a placing after a prominent run one off the fence with cover. He's close to a rating bottom. Early favourite Rainbow Seven got going late for fifth after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He couldn't build on placings in his first three starts.

Race Seven : (834) - VICTORY MARVEL HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

Horse No 2 CHAMPION INSTINCT (H012) A Atzeni Jumped awkwardly and then was bumped shortly after the start.

From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

After the event A Atzeni stated that from a wide barrier he was instructed to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages.

He said he was issued with such instructions as CHAMPION INSTINCT had been racing disappointingly at its most recent starts when being ridden in a more forward position.

Horse No 3 BEAUTY MISSILE (H123) A Hamelin From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 4 CONSPIRATOR (K090) J Orman Jumped awkwardly.

Near the 300 Metres was steadied and shifted to the inside of AMAZING FUN to obtain clear running.

Horse No 5 BULB GENERAL (K218) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 8 ROMANTIC PARTY (K372) M F Poon Near the 250 Metres was bumped by RUBY SAILING, resulting in its rider M F Poon having to correct his mount.

After the event M F Poon stated that with blinkers being applied for the first time he was instructed to go forward on the horse.

Horse No 9 COME FAST FAY FAY (K121) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly.

Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.

Horse No 10 WINNING MACHINE (K239) H Bentley After the event H Bentley stated that his mount responded to his riding in the early part of the Home Straight but over the final 200 Metres gave ground and he could offer no explanation for its failure to finish the race off strongly.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 11 SAL (K267) B Thompson Bumped on jumping.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 12 KING OBERON (H407) E C W Wong Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 13 RIDING HIGH (J403) Y L Chung Brushed a rail on entering the track, was examined by the Veterinary Officer at the Start and passed suitable to start.

Horse No 14 RUBY SAILING (H347) P N Wong Approaching the 300 Metres improved to the inside of ROMANTIC PARTY where there was not sufficient room to do so.

As a result RUBY SAILING raced tight to the inside of ROMANTIC PARTY and made contact with that runner near the 250 Metres.

Apprentice P N Wong was advised to exercise more care and must ensure that there is sufficient room when she is improving into runs.

After the race Apprentice Wong reported that her mount made a respiratory noise during the race.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer" which had previously been reported.

Horse No NORTHERN BEACHES (H266) H Bowman Withdrawn on 10.7.25 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (left front tendon injury) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter BEAUTY MISSILE.
