Recap by phillip woo

Odds-on favourite Bulb General settled one off and better than midfield before surging to the lead near the 200m and winning with something in hand. He has a bright future. Punted late Akashvani ran on nicely to finish a clear-cut second after a one-off trip from midfield. He's building towards another win. Rising From Ashes came from last and widest out to edge Wonderstar for third. He was suited by the race tempo. Wonderstar stayed on well for fourth after pushing forward to chase the strong pace of Jumbo Treasure 850m out from gate 10. It was a good run in defeat. Tier Fly made ground late through the centre after biding his time third last to just take fifth without threatening the top four runners. He's shown hints of ability in his four local runs but seems to want a further trip. Super Legends just held his ground when push came to shove following a rails run from midfield. He requires a bit of rating relief.
