Recap by phillip woo

Fortune Boy was five back along the inside and despite copping interference approaching the 200m, he timed things perfectly for a third win from 10 starts. Pope Cody found one just too good after rushing to the front 200m out following a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was another good effort carrying 5lb more following a win. Max Que just got up for third after a wide trip from behind midfield. He ran well after back-to-back wins over a shorter 1,400m. Favourite Beauty Bolt just failed to get up for third after wide trip traveling fourth from the rear. It was another honest effort. Sky Vino finished nicely down the outside to just miss a first four spot after a patient ride second last from gate 11. He's run with merit in both outings from outside draws this term. Spirit Of Peace wove a run near the inside for sixth after straightening two from the rear.
