Horse No 1 BRILLIANT EXPRESS (J321) H Bowman Jumped only fairly.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 FLYING FORTRESS (J445) H Bentley Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.
Horse No 3 EVERYONE'S STAR (K172) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 GRACIOUS EXPRESS (J188) M F Poon Raced wide and without cover in the middle stages.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 GHORGAN (K199) A Badel In the middle stages raced keenly.
Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.
Horse No 8 NEARLY FINE (E430) C Y Ho From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 10 RIDING TOGETHER (K081) A Atzeni A Atzeni stated that when under pressure in the Home Straight he was concerned there was something amiss with the horse and when not in a competitive position he eased it down over the final 250 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of RIDING TOGETHER was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts.
Before being allowed to race again, RIDING TOGETHER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 11 SMART AVENUE (K474) K Teetan Jumped only fairly and then shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between BRILLIANT EXPRESS and STAR MAC.
For a short distance near the 50 Metres was held up behind OUTGATE which was giving ground and shifting out.
Horse No 12 STAR MAC (J053) R Kingscote Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start was checked when crowded between SMART AVENUE which shifted out and away from BRILLIANT EXPRESS and RIDING TOGETHER which shifted in slightly.
Horse No 13 KINGDOM OF RICHES (K079) M L Yeung After the event M L Yeung advised that from the inside barrier he was asked to hold a forward position.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Gracious Express had a wide and without cover trip in midfield from gate 14 and after surging to the lead with one wider 150m out, he kept finding to defeat Everyone's Star for a third win and first over 1,400m from 19 starts. Everyone's Star ran on nicely for second after a wide trip travelling four from the rear. It was another good effort following fetlock surgery in June. Harold Win stayed on third best after a rails run from midfield. It was another honest performance. Outgate made ground for fourth without threatening the top three after a one-off trip ridden midfield from gate 13. He's building towards a win from his three starts this term. Star Mac came from last to just miss a first four spot. It was an improved effort at his second run over 1,400m this term, but he is clearly better suited over a longer trip. Favourite Brilliant Express made ground late near the inside after travelling three from the rear. He was anchored by the big weight.
