Racing Incident Report
Race Seven : (120) - SWIFTY HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 2 ACE POWER (J181) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start was crowded between BASIC INSTINCT and SIGHT HAPPY which was taken out by SILVER SPURS.
Near the 50 Metres was steadied to avoid SHOTGUN (M F Poon) which shifted in when not clear.
M F Poon was advised to exercise more care.
L Ferraris stated that his mount travelled only fairly during the running of the race and was unable to run on when placed under pressure in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 ABSOLUTE LUCKY (K070) A Atzeni In the middle stages raced keenly.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 4 SIGHT HAPPY (J261) K Teetan Hampered shortly after the start.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 GAMEPLAYER ELITE (H356) C L Chau Bumped heavily at the start and became unbalanced.
Horse No 8 SILVER SPURS (J043) E C W Wong Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 YOUNG STRIKER (K029) K De Melo Bumped heavily at the start and became unbalanced.
Horse No 10 GOLDEN LUCK (H159) K C Leung Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 REWARDING TWINKLE (J368) M Chadwick Jumped only fairly.
For a short distance near the 100 Metres was held up for clear running behind BASIC INSTINCT.
Horse No 12 SHOTGUN (K111) M F Poon From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Lay in in the Home Straight and near the 50 Metres was shifted to the inside of SIGHT HAPPY to continue into clear running.

Raging favourite Silver Spurs dictated the pace from gate one and after turning the final bend nearly two lengths clear, he kept finding to just defeat Golden Luck for a second win and second from three starts this term. He will remain in the grade and can win again. Golden Luck gave a cheeky sight after working over three deep to track the winner 1,000m out from gate nine. It was a better run at his second start this term. Grand Nova rallied late for third without threatening the top two after making his run fourth last from gate 11. He can bob up at any moment. Crystal Powerful whacked on one paced for fourth after getting all favours in the box seat. It was a much better effort at his third start this term. Basic Instinct kept grinding away for fifth after a one-off trip from better than midfield. It was his best effort from nine local starts. Sight Happy had his chance but could only managed sixth prize money after a rails run from midfield. He's limited. Ace Power never got into the act travelling one from the rear. He didn't get the race run to suit but isn't reliable.
