Race Two : (134) - TSIM MEI FUNG HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 BEAUTY FORMULA (K066) Y L Chung Bounded on jumping and lost ground.
Horse No 2 HANDSOME BLOND (K241) K Teetan Shifted out abruptly at the start and was bumped.
K Teetan reported that after being crossed by LUCKY BLESSING leaving the 700 Metres his mount got its head up and ran out when steadied to avoid the heels of LUCKY BLESSING.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 NOTTHESILLYONE (J383) L Ferraris Jumped awkwardly.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 LEGEND STAR (K271) Z Purton Bumped on jumping.
Z Purton could offer no excuse for his mount's failure to run on in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 GLORY CLOUD (H320) A Badel Was left racing wide and without cover from the 700 Metres.
Horse No 6 LUCKY BLESSING (K073) E C W Wong Apprentice E C W Wong stated that his mount resented the kickback when positioned behind runners during the race and this was the principal reason why it did not run on strongly in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 7 NOBLE GO (K053) D Probert Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 8 ORIENTAL SURPRISE (K028) L Hewitson Over the concluding stages lay in and away from FORTUNE RACER and as a consequence could not be ridden out to the finish.
Horse No 9 EXCELLENT DADDY (E321) J Orman Over the final 50 Metres could not be ridden out when racing tight to the inside of LUCKY BLESSING.
Horse No 10 FORTUNE RACER (J234) R Kingscote Bumped at the start and became unbalanced.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 CHEER FOR SOUTH (H178) C L Chau Bumped on jumping.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 DOUBLE BINGO (J309) M F Poon On jumping made contact with the left side of the starting gate, resulting in DOUBLE BINGO jumping only fairly.
Shortly after DOUBLE BINGO was then bumped by HANDSOME BLOND which shifted out abruptly despite the efforts of its rider K Teetan.
Near the 400 Metres was shifted to the outside of BEAUTY FORMULA to obtain clear running.

Notthesillyone just held on by a lip after leading from gate seven for a second win and first on this surface from his past four starts. He lived up to two solid runs on this surface this season. The well-backed Cheer For South surged late to just miss after finding cover travelling fourth and one off the fence from gate 12. He's always a chance on this surface. Favourite Double Bingo rushed home widest out to just snatch third after making his run from the rear following a slow start. He can bob up at any moment. Punted late, Glory Cloud stayed on well for fourth after a wide trip travelling midfield from gate eight. It was a positive showing with a switch to the all-weather surface. Fortune Racer gradually faded after tracking the eventual winner from gate 11. It was an improved effort with a switch to dirt racing. Oriental Surprise only plodded when asked for an effort following a box-seat run. Prefer him on turf. Lucky Blessing came up one-paced after a handy run one off the fence. He should stick to turf racing. Excellent Daddy made some ground without threatening after making his run two from the rear.
