Race Three : (162) - KATE TOKYO HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 CIRCUIT FIERY (H475) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 CIRCUIT VICTORY (H487) P N Wong Apprentice P N Wong stated that in the Home Straight she had some concerns with her mount's action when it commenced to give ground.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 IRON LEGION (J459) Y L Chung Jumped awkwardly.
M L Yeung (KA YING POWER) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 150 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of IRON LEGION, resulting in IRON LEGION having to be checked to avoid KA YING POWER, shifting in and also crowding the running of THE CONCENTRATION.
M L Yeung was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Wednesday, 19 November 2025 at Happy Valley.
In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 1 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his neutral race riding record.
In addition, Jockey Yeung was fined $20,000.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 BLUE BARON (J448) K C Leung Near the 900 Metres became unbalanced when positioned tight to the inside of THE CONCENTRATION.
K C Leung reported that his mount did not appreciate racing in amongst other horses during the event.
Horse No 5 SOMETHING JONAH (K024) J Orman Jumped only fairly.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 6 LEGEND STAR (K271) H Bowman Noted to have blood in the mouth on arrival at the Start.
Was examined by the Veterinary Officer and found to be suitable to race.
From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 200 Metres was bumped by MY FLYING ANGEL which shifted out to improve.
Horse No 7 MY FLYING ANGEL (J174) A Badel Jumped awkwardly.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Held up for clear running between the 350 Metres and the 200 Metres.
Bumped near the 200 Metres.
Horse No 8 DECRELOT (J551) L Ferraris L Ferraris stated that his mount made a respiratory noise during the running of the race.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 TEAM HAPPY (J218) H Doyle Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 THE CONCENTRATION (H465) C L Chau In the early stages raced keenly and for some distance near the 1000 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from CIRCUIT FIERY.
Crowded near the 150 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 13 BINGO BABE (K115) M F Poon Near the 900 Metres shifted out when being steadied to avoid KA YING POWER.
Horse No 14 KA YING POWER (H169) M L Yeung Near the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid THE CONCENTRATION.
M L Yeung pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 150 Metres (see IRON LEGION).
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 DOUBLE SHOW (G250) K Teetan Withdrawn by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice after it was found to have a heart condition during the pre-race examination which required further assessment.
Before being allowed to race again, DOUBLE SHOW will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Following further assessment of the heart condition, the Stewards will consider if any further action is taken against the horse.
Horse No EURO ROCKS (H153) M Chadwick Withdrawn on 8.11.25 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter BINGO BABE.
Before being allowed to race again, EURO ROCKS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Ka Ying Power sat one-off behind midfield before running on nicely through the centre to take control 60m out for a first local win at his 21st start. Team Happy did everything right but get the win after hitting the lead 350m out following a speed-tracking run from gate eight. He had run with merit in his opening two 1,400m starts before showing little last start on dirt. My Flying Angel finished nice through the centre for third after biding his time three from the rear. It was a better performance. Circuit Fiery just plodded after getting a perfect trip in the one-one spot. He couldn't build on seconds in his opening two starts but was carrying top weight. Legend Star ran on near the outside for fifth after making his run at the rear from gate 14. It was a better effort on his return to turf. Iron Legion kept on all right after a wide and without cover trip travelling better than midfield from a tricky gate. It was a better effort following a downgrade.
