My Wish was ridden patiently fourth last before hitting the front 150m and keeping on gamely for a third win from eight starts this term. He was suited by the quick pace after catching the eye when a close second last start. Cap Ferrat ran on strongly to make it close on the wire following a patient ride second last from gate 14. It was a much better effort at his second start back following a nosebleed in November. Docklands ran on nicely near the inside for third after making his run five back on the fence. It was a good effort. Invincible Ibis made good ground late for fourth after making his run third last from gate five. It was another solid performance following a Derby win. Voyage Bubble stayed on well for fifth without threatening the first four after a handy run wide without cover the entire trip from gate 12. He was brave in defeat.

Racing Incident Report

Race Seven : (640) - THE FWD CHAMPIONS MILE - Class G1 - 1600Meters

Horse No 1 JANTAR MANTAR (K910) Y Kawada Jumped only fairly and then was bumped by INVINCIBLE IBIS which shifted out slightly.

Near the 1400 Metres was bumped by RED LION which shifted in slightly, resulting in JANTAR MANTAR shifting in and away from RED LION.

When questioned Y Kawada stated that his mount did not travel well throughout the race and, in his opinion, was not suited by racing on the Sha Tin surface, particularly as it had raced disappointingly at its previous race start at Sha Tin on 8 December 2024.

Trainer T Takano stated that JANTAR MANTAR had pleased him since arriving in Hong Kong and he had expected it to perform well, however, he could offer no explanation for the horse's disappointing performance.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 2 VOYAGE BUBBLE (E436) C L Chau Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Horse No 3 DOCKLANDS (K902) M Zahra Jumped only fairly.

Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race.

Horse No 4 LUCKY SWEYNESSE (G180) K C Leung K C Leung stated that his mount was able to obtain a favourable position behind the lead in the early and middle stages.

He said on entering the Home Straight he endeavoured to improve between RED LION and COPARTNER PRANCE, however, had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 400 Metres and the 250 Metres after which LUCKY SWEYNESSSE did not respond to his riding.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 5 MY WISH (J256) H Bowman Near the 450 Metres shifted out and was bumped.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 7 GALAXY PATCH (H399) K Teetan Jumped awkwardly.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Between the 700 Metres and the 500 Metres raced tight to the inside of CAP FERRAT when improving into a narrow run to the inside of CAP FERRAT.

Horse No 8 STRAUSS (L918) J Moreira Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running behind LUCKY SWEYNESSE.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 9 CAP FERRAT (K021) C Williams From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Between the 400 Metres and the 250 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.

Horse No 10 INVINCIBLE IBIS (K296) J McDonald Shifted out on jumping and made contact with JANTAR MANTAR.

Horse No 12 CHANCHENG GLORY (H212) H Bentley Near the 450 Metres was bumped and carried wider by MY WISH.

Horse No 14 LITTLE PARADISE (K246) Z Purton Between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres was badly held up for clear running behind LUCKY SWEYNESSE.

For some distance near the 100 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of COPARTNER PRANCE.
