Favourite Chill Easy got the box-seat and put them away after hitting the front 200m out for a first win at his sixth local start. The writing had been on the wall with placing at his past two starts. Run Run Smart gave a cheeky sight in the lead from gate five for second under a 10lb claimer. It was another good performance following a last start win in Class Four. King Equine ran on nicely to just miss second by a neck after a rails run from midfield. It was a vastly improved effort with a step up to 1,400m at his second local start. M M Concord kept on well for fourth after going forward three wide from gate 12 to sit outside Run Run Smart. He was able to build on a front-running fifth two runs ago. The Unique Star just held his ground after a one-out, one-back run. He's going just okay.

Race Eleven : (764) - HKU JOCKEY CLUB TOWER HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters

Horse No 1 CHIU CHOW SPIRIT (H175) P N Wong Apprentice P N Wong reported that as the start was effected her mount turned its head to the left and as a result jumped awkwardly and lost ground.

Horse No 2 MAKE YOU SMILE (K426) J Moreira Near the 1100 Metres was steadied to avoid TRUE BROTHERS (A Badel) which shifted in when not fully clear.

A Badel was advised to exercise more care.

J Moreira could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 3 FIT FOR BEAUTY (K489) Z Purton Z Purton reported that his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event and in addition he had to make use of the horse in the early stages to cross runners to his inside.

He added that as a result FIT FOR BEAUTY was unable to run on in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 4 THUNDER KIT (L121) C Y Ho Jumped only fairly.

Horse No 5 RUN RUN SMART (K080) H Y Yuen Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 6 THE UNIQUE STAR (L122) K Teetan Near the 450 Metres was bumped and taken wider by KING EQUINE.

Horse No 7 CHILL EASY (L148) C L Chau Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 8 KING EQUINE (L379) H Bowman Near the 450 Metres was shifted to the outside of M M CONCORD to improve and as a result made contact with THE UNIQUE STAR.

Horse No 9 TRUE BROTHERS (L381) A Badel Shifted in shortly after the start and was corrected by its rider.

The performance of TRUE BROTHERS, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, TRUE BROTHERS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 10 THUNDER ACTION (L314) M L Yeung A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 11 WELL ENOUGH (L029) H Bentley Jumped only fairly.

Throughout the early stages raced keenly.

Near the 1100 Metres was steadied when crowded between THUNDER KIT which shifted out slightly and THUNDER ACTION which was racing tight to the inside of FIT FOR BEAUTY.

WELL ENOUGH continued to race keenly for some distance thereafter.

The performance of WELL ENOUGH, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, WELL ENOUGH will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 12 KEMPES (J265) A Atzeni On jumping made contact with the left side of its starting gate and lost ground.

Horse No 14 RISING FROM ASHES (G209) L Hewitson The tongue tie was refitted at the Start.
