Race Three : (798) - MORRISON HILL ROAD HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters
Horse No 2 MIGHTY STEED (J384) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 IVY LEAGUE (H116) K Teetan K Teetan stated that his preference was to obtain cover but when unable to comply with those instructions in the early stages IVY LEAGUE was obliged to lead the event.
He added under pressure in the Home Straight IVY LEAGUE failed to respond to his riding.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 VICTOR THE RAPID (J393) C L Chau Bumped approaching the 300 Metres.
C L Chau stated that from a wide barrier and with his mount stepping up in distance he was asked to take up a forward position.
Horse No 5 FLYING FORTUNE (L057) C Y Ho Approaching the 300 Metres shifted out and made contact with VICTOR THE RAPID.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 TAKE ACTION (J098) B Avdulla From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Leaving the 1200 Metres was steadied when crowded by NOBLE PURSUIT which shifted in.
Horse No 7 LUCKY TOGETHER (L079) A Badel Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 NOBLE PURSUIT (H324) J Moreira Leaving the 1200 Metres shifted in when being steadied away from HEALTHY PONY.
Horse No 9 TURIN WARRIOR (G150) L Ferraris Near the 1400 Metres shifted in before being corrected by its rider and then was awkwardly placed close to STAR FIGURE for a short distance thereafter.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 HEALTHY PONY (L046) M Chadwick Shortly after the start was eased to avoid FLYING FORTUNE which shifted out.
Near the 1400 Metres was momentarily crowded by TURIN WARRIOR which shifted in before being corrected by its rider.
Near the 1200 Metres CASA ROCHESTER improved to the inside of HEALTHY PONY which was racing tight to the inside of TURIN WARRIOR.
A short distance later TURIN WARRIOR (L Ferraris) shifted in when not sufficiently clear, resulting in HEALTHY PONY having to be steadied to avoid TURIN WARRIOR.
L Ferraris was severely reprimanded.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 STAR FIGURE (K215) L Hewitson L Hewitson stated that he was given the option of holding a more forward position if his mount commenced well.
He said when STAR FIGURE jumped well tonight it was able to hold a more forward position than its previous race starts.

Favourite Flying Fortune settled prominently on the inside from gate two and took control 120m out for a first win at his eighth local start. The writing had been on the wall at his most recent two runs over the Valley 1,650m. Well backed Mighty Steed found one too good after leading 200m out following a speed-tracking run outside Ivy League from gate 12. He's itching for a return to the winner's circle with seconds in three of his past four starts. Star Figure ran on well for third after a one-off trip from midfield. It was a good effort at his first start over the Valley 1,650m. Take Action wove a run late near the inside to just snatch fourth after making his run second last from gate 11. It was an encouraging effort carrying 4lb more following a win. Northern Beast just failed to fill a first four spot after a rails run from midfield. He rarely produces a bad run over the course. Casa Rochester ran on without threatening after making his run five back on the fence. Noble Pursuit came from last to finish next best. Victor The Rapid didn't get the mile trip yet again after a prominent run with cover from gate 10.
