Race Five : (800) - THE RACING WORLD 50TH ANNIVERSARY CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 TACTICAL HORIZONS (L173) H Bowman Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Horse No 2 MEOWTH (J487) L Ferraris Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 GAMEPLAYER ELITE (H356) A Badel Approaching the 200 Metres became unbalanced when it made contact with WARRIORS DREAM when being shifted to the outside of MEOWTH to obtain clear running.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 WORLD HERO (J413) C Y Ho C Y Ho reported that his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event and as a result was unable to run on in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 WARRIORS DREAM (K255) L Hewitson Approaching the 800 Metres commenced to race keenly and was steadied to avoid MEOWTH.
Approaching the 200 Metres was bumped by GAMEPLAYER ELITE which shifted out.
Near the 100 Metres was then steadied to avoid GAMEPLAYER ELITE when both runners shifted ground.
Near the 50 Metres was again steadied to avoid GAMEPLAYER ELITE which shifted out slightly.
Horse No 8 QUARTZ LEGEND (K548) J Moreira On jumping was bumped by KWAI CHUNG TALENTS which shifted in, resulting in QUARTZ LEGEND shifting in and making contact with WINNING NOW.
Approaching the 1000 Metres was bumped by KWAI CHUNG TALENTS which shifted in.
Horse No 9 FORZA LEADER (L034) K C Leung Bumped shortly after the start.
Horse No 10 KWAI CHUNG TALENTS (L144) M L Yeung Shifted in on jumping and made contact with QUARTZ LEGEND.
Bumped approaching the 1000 Metres.
Horse No 11 LEAN MASTER (H134) P N Wong Apprentice P N Wong stated that from the outside barrier she was obliged to make use of her mount in the early stages to obtain a position outside the lead, resulting in LEAN MASTER being unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 WINNING NOW (K532) K Teetan On jumping became unbalanced when crowded between FORZA LEADER and QUARTZ LEGEND which shifted in after being bumped by KWAI CHUNG TALENTS.
K Teetan stated that after being crowded at the start he was obliged to make use of his mount in the early stages to lead.
He said this resulted in WINNING NOW not being able to finish the race off in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Favourite Meowth settled prominently before shooting to the lead 150m out and proving much too smart for a third win and second this term from 21 starts. He deserved that after placing in six of his past nine starts. Gameplayer Elite ran on nicely for second after settling three back on the fence from gate two. It was another honest performance. Gratifide finished well to spice up the tierce after a patient ride fourth last from gate one. It was a vastly-improved effort following a move to blinkers and switch to the Valley 1,200m at his second run down in Class Four. Warriors Dream stayed on for fourth after a one-off trip from midfield. It was his best effort from four starts on his return to the Valley 1,200m. Kwai Chung Talents ran on late for fifth travelling third last from gate eight. The three-year-old has shown flashes of ability in his six starts. Forza Leader ran on without threatening after making his run at the rear from gate five. Quartz Legend just held his ground after a wide trip with cover from midfield. Smashed late in betting Winning Now tamely faded after dictating the pace from gate six.
