Recap by phillip woo

Hot favourite Mr Incredible was prominent and after leading 300m out, he won with plenty in hand for a third win from four starts. He has a very bright future. Embrace Aberdeen stayed on nicely for second after finding a spot one-off travelling midfield from gate 12. It was his best effort in the grade. Thunder Kit ran on nicely for third after getting held up for a run until the 120m from the rear. He has good 1,200m form. City Gold Banner made ground for fourth after a rails run from the rear. It was an improved effort at his second 1,200m run. Royal Blitz gradually faded after a speed-tracking run. He's still acclimatising. Happy Index made some ground near the outside for sixth.

Racing Incident Report

Race Ten : (814) - SHEK SHEUNG RIVER HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters

Horse No 1 GUSTOSISIMO (J303) Z Purton Jumped only fairly and then was eased when crowded by ROYAL BLITZ which shifted in.

Between the 400 Metres and the 350 Metres was held up for clear running.

Z Purton stated that his mount did not respond to his riding in the Home Straight and the only explanation he could offer was that the horse may be better suited by being stepped up in distance.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 2 HAPPY INDEX (L152) P N Wong Apprentice P N Wong stated that her instructions were to go forward and attempt to lead.

She said despite riding her mount along in the early stages it did not show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position.

She added that when unable to cross runners to her inside HAPPY INDEX was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event before giving ground in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
