Horse No 1 CONTINENT EXPRESS (L283) J Orman Had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 350 Metres and the 250 Metres.
Horse No 2 AEROINVINCIBLE (J180) A Atzeni Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 CHIU CHOW SPIRIT (H175) P N Wong Bumped on jumping.
Horse No 4 FIT FOR BEAUTY (K489) E Brown Held up for clear running between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres.

After the 150 Metres was shifted to the outside of SOVEREIGN FUND to attempt to obtain clear running.
When SOVEREIGN FUND then shifted out, DO YOUR PART was badly held up for clear running over the final 150 Metres when awkwardly placed on the heels of SOVEREIGN FUND.
As a result DO YOUR PART shifted out and made contact with MEGASTAR HEART for some distance near the 50 Metres.

After travelling a short distance was then steadied when crowded between SOVEREIGN FUND and CONTINENT EXPRESS.
Leaving the 700 Metres got its head up when being steadied to avoid FIT FOR BEAUTY.
Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of WINDLORD.
When being shifted out THUNDER ACTION blundered approaching the 300 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Sovereign Fund had a one-off trip from midfield and just got the better of Aeroinvincible for a fourth win from 28 starts. It was his best run from four 1,400m runs. Aeroinvincible wouldn't go down without a fight after leading 300m out following a speed-tracking run outside Golden Champ. It was another good effort carrying 11lb more following a win. Favourite Circuit Champion ran on nicely for third after a wide trip towards the rear from gate nine. He's performed well with a step up to 1,400m in his past two starts. Do Your Part stayed on for fourth but didn't get the clearest of runs over the final 200m following a box-seat run. He should have finished closer. Punted late Megastar Heart ran on steadily for fifth after a rails run from midfield. It was an improved effort ridden cold.
