Sensationally backed Night Purosangue set the pace and edged clear after the turn for a third dirt 1,650m win this term and second from his past three starts. He was able to brush off a 1,800m defeat last time out with blood in his trachea. Bull Attitude worked home nicely down the outside for second after a wide with cover trip from behind midfield. Favourite Chill Kaka had his chance but found two too good after a one-off trip from better than midfield. He's run well in three consecutive runs. King Of Selection stayed on well for fourth at huge odds following a rails run from midfield. It was a much-improved effort for his new trainer. Supreme Agility just failed to get up for fourth after a one-off trip from midfield. Perfect Team had every chance following a handy run.

Race Five : (809) - NG TUNG RIVER HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters

Horse No 1 HAPPY UNIVERSE (J533) K C Leung K C Leung reported that his mount came under pressure from the 600 Metres and failed to run on thereafter.

He added that, in his opinion, the horse may have reached the end of its preparation.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 2 SUPREME AGILITY (J267) Z Purton Shortly after the start made contact with BULL ATTITUDE when taken out slightly by NIGHT PUROSANGUE.

Horse No 3 PRESTIGE WIN (L248) L Ferraris A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 4 CHILL KAKA (J486) R Kingscote Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 6 CALIFORNIA STAR (J123) M Chadwick Made contact with a rail on the way to the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.

Slow to begin.

Approaching the 1500 Metres lay in and became unbalanced when it made contact with the running rail.

Horse No 7 LESLIE (E471) E Brown From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 9 KING OF SELECTION (K397) J Orman Jumped only fairly.

Approaching the 150 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between FASHION LEGEND and CHILL KAKA.

As a result KING OF SELECTION was held up for clear running between the 150 Metres and the 100 Metres.

Horse No 10 NIGHT PUROSANGUE (J510) A Badel Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 11 FOREMOST TEDDY (J058) E C W Wong E C W Wong stated that his mount was disadvantaged by racing wide and without cover for the majority of the event and gave ground when under pressure in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have blood at the right nostril.

An endoscopic examination conducted on FOREMOST TEDDY found that there was no blood in its trachea and therefore the blood in the nostril was determined to be not coming from the lungs and as such the horse was deemed not to have bled.

Horse No 12 BULL ATTITUDE (K305) L Hewitson Bumped shortly after the start.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 13 CONRAD THE GREAT (K217) K Teetan From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Raced keenly in the middle stages.

Horse No 14 FASHION LEGEND (J080) Y L Chung Y L Chung stated that the instructions were to hold an on-pace position preferably with cover.

He said in the early stages he was obliged to continue forward to cross runners to his inside and to avoid covering additional ground which resulted in his mount settling outside the lead.
