Race Ten : (836) - THE PHILIP CHEN TROPHY (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 2 ALL OUT FOR SIX (L193) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly and then was checked to avoid RED SEA which was taken out.
Had difficulty obtaining clear running approaching the 300 Metres.
Trainer M Newnham confirmed that from a wide barrier he had instructed for the horse to be ridden in a conservative manner in the early stages.
Horse No 4 HARMONY N BLESSED (E061) R Kingscote Making the turn near the 900 Metres bumped with SOLID STATE due to both runners shifting ground.
Horse No 5 RED SEA (L195) J Orman On jumping became unbalanced when bumped by SPICY STANDARD.
J Orman reported that his mount was not comfortable on the "Good to Yielding" track conditions.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 SUPERB SPIRIT (L040) Z Purton Slipped in the saddling stalls, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 SOLID STATE (L411) A Badel Making the turn near the 900 Metres bumped with HARMONY N BLESSED due to both runners shifting ground.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 IGOR STRAVINSKY (K086) Y L Chung Kicked a rail on entering the track, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
The performance of IGOR STRAVINSKY, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, IGOR STRAVINSKY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 10 VULCANUS (J150) H T Mo Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 11 MOUNT EVEREST (K237) M L Yeung Jumped only fairly.
From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 12 SPICY STANDARD (J520) A Atzeni Shifted out on jumping and made contact with RED SEA.

Solid State was much too smart after leading from gate two on his local debut. He lived up to his trials and does have a bright future. Favourite Superb Spirit ran on for second after a one-off trip from midfield. It was another good run up in grade following backto- back wins. Spicy Standard ran on nicely for third after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was an improved effort at his third run in the grade. Perfect General whacked on one paced after a box-seat run. It was an okay effort carrying top weight. All Out For Six ran on late for fifth after making his run four back on the fence. He hasn't disgraced carrying big weights. Gulu Gogo made ground late for sixth after a patient ride.
