PHILIP WOO’S FORMLINE
Helene Supafeeling accelerated nicely to win his local debut over the Sha Tin 1,200m before staying on a pleasing fifth without the best of runs from a tricky gate over 1,400m. He looks a suitable ride for Dylan Browne McMonagle and should acquit himself well from gate one with a step back to 1,200m. Exciting three-year-old Hot Delight defied a wide trip travelling behind midfield from gate 14 to cosily win in a good time on debut last month over this C&D. He has the tools to hold his own up in grade carrying 12lb less. Glowing Praises carries 6lb more but kept finding after leading 100m out following a prominent run to win his local debut last month over the straight 1,000m and was a 1,200m winner pre-import in Australia. Mount Everest zipped home nicely for a neck success on his return to his favourite Sha Tin 1,200m second up this before making a decent bid late for fifth to Happy Index in leader-friendly race at this level. He'll go close.
TROUBLE IN RUNNING
HELENE SUPAFEELING (L028) jumped awkwardly. In the middle stages raced keenly and near the 1100M got its head up when being checked away from a runner - Race 344.
DARYL FLASH (L168) raced very wide and without cover from the 800M - Race 404.
THRIVING BROTHERS (J396) between the 200M and the 100M was bumped on a number of occasions - Race 404.
CORNERSTONE (K519) bumped near the 300M - Race 225.
MOUNT EVEREST (K237) jumped only fairly - Race 383.
ORIGIN OF FORM (K517) bumped shortly after the start. After travelling a short distance was steadied when crowded between runners - Race 383.
GOLDENTRONICMIGHTY (K002) jumped only fairly and then was bumped. Approaching the 250M was steadied. Near the 50M rider dropped his whip. Rider reported that his mount, which was having its first race start at Happy Valley, was uncomfortable racing on the track. Following the race was found that horse to be a "roarer" which had previously been reported - Race 391.
HOT DELIGHT (K583) jumped awkwardly - Race 358.
JOKER ORBIT (L115) passing the 600M got unbalanced when racing tight and then lost ground when negotiating the 600M turn - Race 433.
