PHILIP WOO’S FORMLINE
King Glorioso hasn't been beaten far in four consecutive runs, including his past three from gates 12, nine and 12, after a nose success over this C&D in October. He has since trialled nicely for third following a stable change and gate three should present him a soft run. Everstar comes off three consecutive defeats at Sha Tin following a return to Class Four and now returns to the track and trip of a rallying nose success off a rating five points higher in November. Honest Witness made all last start on his return to the Valley 1,200m of a second in January. He remains a pace threat. Sea Diamond made a decent impression for fourth to Majestic Valour on debut over the Sha Tin 1,200m in January before backing up a ground-covering defeat with a non-threatening eighth when trying the straight 1,000m. He will try his luck at the Valley.
TROUBLE IN RUNNING
CHEAHA (K567) jumped awkwardly and shortly after the start was bumped heavily - Race 592.
VERY GRATEFUL (K396) bumped shortly after the start. Rider stated that he had anticipated holding a slightly more forward position but his mount did not show sufficient pace in the early stages to do so. He added in the Home Straight his mount finished the race off in a one-paced manner. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 529.
EVERSTAR (K264) on jumping was bumped. Near the 600M shifted out when being steadied - Race 620.
SOO KOO (L008) was withdrawn prior to the race by order of the Stewards on vet advice (irregular heart rhythm) . Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 431.
THE PERFECT MATCH (J253) rider stated that he was given no specific instructions. He said when his mount jumped well he elected to go forward but was obliged to make too much use of the horse in the early stages which resulted in his mount not finishing the race off in the Home Straight. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 551.
AMO ERGO SUM (K394) on jumping shifted out and away from a runner and made contact with another runner - Race 558.
SEA DIAMOND (L072) bumped on jumping - Race 574.
LEAN MASTER (H134) rider reported that his mount anticipated the start and as a result commenced only fairly. He said approaching the first turn near the 1000M his mount commenced to race keenly and as a result got its head up when positioned close to heels. He added his mount then continued to race keenly throughout the middle stages of the event and refused to settle - Race 507.
LAKESHORE HERO (J288) bumped with a runner on jumping. Rider stated that after the 300M he endeavoured to improve to the outside of a runner to obtain clear running. He said as he did so his mount lay in which required him to make more effort to shift his mount out. He said when improving to the outside of that runner, his mount made contact with another runner which resulted in his mount having to be steadied to avoid the aforementioned runner. Between the 250M and the 150M was then held up for clear running after being shifted in - Race 607.
MASTER LUCKY (K582) jumped only fairly and shortly after the start made contact with a runner. Raced keenly throughout the middle stages and for some distance near the 800M was steadied. Afterwards shifted out and made contact with a runner. Bumped near the 400M - Race 611.
VET'S REPORT
SOO KOO (L008) 11/02/2026 Heart irregularity noted during pre-race screening. Withdrawn from racing. (passed on 24/03/2026).
