TROUBLE IN RUNNING

GALLANT DESIGN (L161) shifted out at the start and made contact with a runner - Race 597.

PRESIDENT PEGASUS (L241) bumped shortly after the start. Near the 250M was steadied when crowded. Rider stated that his mount raced greenly when placed under pressure in the early stages of the Home Straight - Race 600.

HAPPY BRETHREN (L049) bumped on jumping and became unbalanced - Race 590.

JUBILANT STAR (K410) when questioned regarding his riding rider stated that he had expected to settle back in the field from the outside barrier and had been instructed to endeavour to take runs to the inside as connections felt that it had been advantageous to race in that position having regard to the racing pattern on the day. He said as a consequence after settling back in the field he elected to remain racing behind runners rather than shifting out on the Home Turn to start a forward move. He said after improving to the inside of a runner near the 400M he endeavoured to secure clear running. He added that as he commenced to improve between runners, the run became too tight to improve into and as a consequence was held up for clear running between the 300M and the 150M where he then shifted out to obtain clear running. Trainer confirmed the instructions and stated he issued those instructions as he was of the opinion that it would be advantageous to improve close to the rail. Noted to have lost its left hind plate after the race - Race 598.

LET'S HAVE FUN (L118) jumped only fairly. In the middle stages raced keenly and near the 900M was steadied - Race 617.

FLYING KNIGHT (K370) near the 250M was hampered when shifting out and away from a runner - Race 577.

HEALTHY PONY (L046) shortly after the start became unbalanced when making contact with a runner - Race 578.

GOR GOR (K104) near the 250M was checked. Rider advised that he was instructed to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages as connections felt it was advantageous to settle back in the field having regard to the racing pattern - Race 577.

MULTISUPERSTAR (L163) noted to have blood in the mouth on arrival at the Start, was examined by the vet and passed suitable to race. With the early and middle stages of the event being run outside of standard time raced keenly. Rider stated that, in his opinion, the horse did not run out the 1600M of the race. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 618.

COME FAST FAY FAY (K121) jumped only fairly. Shortly after the start was bumped. After being crossed then raced keenly in the early stages and was steadied for some distance near the 800M - Race 578.

MADE FOR LIFE (L005) on jumping shifted out and made contact with a runner - Race 588.

MONEY TYCOON (K423) jumped awkwardly. Between the 350M and the 150M had difficulty obtaining clear running - Race 578.
