TROUBLE IN RUNNING

ROMANTIC LAOS (G476) trainer advised that he had instructed rider to take up a forward position, similar to when it performed well at its last start on 11 March 2026 - Race 608.

BEAUTY VIVA (K155) shifted in shortly after the start and made contact with a runner. Despite being ridden along in the early stages failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 586.

ANOTHER ZONDA (K176) bumped after travelling a short distance. When questioned rider stated that he was asked to go forward but obtain cover if possible. He said in the early stages, after commencing well, he was obliged to allow his mount to continue forward to cross runners which resulted in his mount being positioned outside the leader. He added approaching the 1100M his mount, which was racing keenly, improved past the leader and when its rider did not contest the lead he elected to continue forward to cross the leader after entering the Back Straight near the 900M. When questioned if there was an opportunity to maintain a position to the outside of the leader to avoid setting a faster pace rider stated that as his mount was racing keenly and he had improved past the leader he felt that his mount's best opportunity was to continue forward and cross that runner rather than having to continually restrain his mount. He further stated that after improving to the lead he was able to reduce the pace through the middle stages of the event in an attempt to assist his mount to finish off in the Home Straight but his mount failed to respond to his riding. Trainer confirmed the preference was to obtain cover. After the race was examined by the vet who said an endoscopic exam showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 548.

LUCKY TOGETHER (L079) raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event - Race 568.

THE ABSOLUTE (H438) shifted out on jumping and was bumped - Race 535.

GENERAL REDWOOD (L102) shifted out slightly leaving the 50M and brushed a runner - Race 586.

JUSTIFYING (K027) after passing the 400M was bumped - Race 570.

VIVACIOUS WIN (K223) rider stated that with an expected lack of speed engaged in the race he was instructed to hold a more forward position than it did at its most recent race starts. Leaving the 50M was brushed - Race 586.

WINNING DATA (H230) leaving the 1400M was checked when crowded after improving to the inside of a runner. Near the 200M was checked when crowded - Race 588.

TO INFINITY (G277) bumped at the start. Bumped near the 250M - Race 627.
