PHILIP WOO’S FORMLINE
Together We Value returns to the course and distance of an opening half-length second over today's track and trip after running well in three of four consecutive outings over the Valley 1,000m. He looks a live chance from gate 14. Lucky Candy is a winner waiting to happen after placing in four consecutive Sha Tin runs, backing up a half-length second to Straight To Glory with a short-head second to Love Together last time out. Fast Responder had been promising in his opening nine C&D runs before making all under a 10lb claimer and did have an excuse after a slow start last time out. Straight To Glory relished a return to the straight 1,000m for a win two runs ago before staying on a non-threatening seventh without cover on the far side carrying 8lb more. He cannot be ignored from a better draw.
TROUBLE IN RUNNING
WE ARE HERO (G207) bumped on jumping - Race 763.
FAST RESPONDER (J295) rider stated that after her mount jumped awkwardly and made contact with a runner it settled further back than intended. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 682.
CALA DEI MORI (L428) shifted in at the start and made contact with a runner. Raced keenly in the early stages. Near the 800M was steadied. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 744.
METRO POWER (K408) hung out making the turns in the middle stages - Race 802.
TOGETHER WE VALUE (L170) bumped shortly after the start. Rider stated that his mount lay out making the turn near the 500M and finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 802.
RED ELEGANCE (H241) rider reported that in the early stages his mount, when caught wide, was not travelling well. He said for that reason he elected to restrain his mount to obtain a trailing position. He added after obtaining cover his mount travelled satisfactorily and he was satisfied with the horse's finishing effort in the Home Straight - Race 802.
DRAGON FOUR SEAS (J317) jumped only fairly - Race 761.
DANCING CLASSICS (J060) shifted out at the start and was bumped. Near the 300M was checked when disappointed for clear running. In that incident shifted out and made heavy contact with a runner. Was then held up for clear running between the 300M and the 100M - Race 751.
WATCH LEGEND (L313) jumped only fairly. Rider stated that his mount, which was having its first race start in Hong Kong, was stirred up prior to the event. He said when his mount commenced to give ground over the concluding stages he eased it down when he felt there may be something amiss with it. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 682.
PARENTS' LOVE (H405) post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 761.
