MR COOL (K184) jumped awkwardly - Race 576.
FLYING BOOM (K327) on jumping was checked when crowded. Rider stated that after being checked at the start and settling back in the field his mount found it difficult to make up ground in the Home Straight due to the early and middle stages of the event being run outside of standard time. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 618.
STORM RUNNER (J452) near the 250M became unbalanced when making contact with a runner. When questioned regarding his riding in the early stages and the reason he made a forward move from the 1500M when the early stages of the event were being run inside of standard time rider stated that he was given the instructions to go forward and as the race appeared to lack pace he was also given the option of leading if circumstances permitted. He said after being crossed by the two runners in the early stages he held a position behind them. He said near the 1500M he felt the pace eased, particularly when the runner in front was restrained. He said as a consequence that resulted in his mount racing keenly at which point he elected to shift out near the 1500M to go forward. He added that as he then continued forward to cross those two runners held their position which resulted in him having to make more use of his mount along the Back Straight where he was able to cross one of those runners near the 1200M. He said due to the manner in which he was obliged to ride his mount in the middle stages to cross that runner, his mount was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. Trainer confirmed the instructions issued. He stated that whilst his preference would have been for his mount to maintain its position with cover near the 1500M he accepted rider's explanation as to why he elected to shift out and start a forward move. After considering his explanation the Stewards advised rider that, having regard to the early stages of the event being run inside of standard time, he made an error of judgement by not making more effort to remain racing behind that runner to avoid having to make too much use of his mount to cross the early leaders. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Performance was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 556.
VERMILION TEMPEST (L093) jumped only fairly. Near the 1000M was steadied. Near the 250M made contact with a runner when being shifted out to obtain clear running - Race 627.
AMAZING GAZE (K444) rider stated that his instructions were to go forward. He said when the horse did not show sufficient pace to do so he elected to restrain his mount in the early stages to obtain a position with cover towards the rear of the field - Race 576.
GRAND TURBO (L138) jumped only fairly, shifted out and made contact with a runner - Race 618.
VOLCANIC SPARK (H388) bumped shortly after the start - Race 556.
KYRUS TREASURE (K300) had its right hind plate adjusted in the saddling stalls, was examined by the vet and passed suitable to race. Shifted in on jumping and was bumped shortly after the start. Leaving the 600M was steadied to avoid a runner when it commenced to race keenly. Approaching the 250M lost its running and had to be checked - Race 576.
YIU CHEUNG VICTORY (J529) bumped at the start. Approaching the 1400M was steadied when crowded. Rider stated that his mount did not appreciate the "Good to Firm" track conditions. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 627.
KOLACHI (J395) jumped only fairly and shortly after the start was crowded. Rider stated that his mount had difficulty improving on the Home Turn when positioned behind a runner and once clear in the Home Straight finished the race off only fairly under riding. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 607.
FORTUNE KINGO (K457) post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 556.
