PHILIP WOO’S FORMLINE
Huge Wave responded nicely to beat Sky Heart by a neck when trying the Valley 1,650m second up this term before staying on all right for eighth after getting no favours from gate 12 over 1,800m. He goes well for Harry Bentley and is an each-way chance. Soleil Fighter stuck on gamely sitting just off the leading pair for a neck second to Hong Lok Golf last month over 1,600m and does return to his favourite Valley 1,650m of three wins and eight placings from 13 starts. Steps Ahead must offset gate 10 but did notch another minor placing when a prominently ridden neck third to Hong Lok Golf last month over 1,600m and has raced well in both C&D runs. Helene Feeling has top weight but did back up a close fourth on his return to his favourite Valley 1,800m with a perfectly-executed win from gate one 13 days ago and is equally adept over this C&D.
TROUBLE IN RUNNING
STEPS AHEAD (J263) jumped awkwardly - Race 223.
HUGE WAVE (J197) raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 253.
KAHOLO ANGEL (H216) bumped on jumping. After travelling a short distance was then eased when crowded - Race 224.
HARMONY N BLESSED (E061) post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 242.
REGAL GEM (K258) briefly held up for clear running approaching the 250M after improving to the inside of a runner and made contact with another runner near the 200M - Race 158.
SHANWAH (L123) was leaning on the left side of its starting gate, jumped awkwardly and made contact with a runner. Near the 700M shifted out when being steadied to avoid a runner. Then was steadied when crowded after improving to the outside of that runner. Rider reported that his mount raced keenly and as a consequence in the Home Straight did not finish the race off. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 223.
TELECOM FIGHTERS (D482) raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event - Race 242.
FALLON (H219) raced keenly in the early stages - Race 234.
CAMBRIDGE (K085) jumped only fairly - Race 259.
