Race Six : (567) - SHAW ALUMNI HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 LIFELINE EXPRESS (H439) A Atzeni Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 WINNING OVATION (K350) Y L Chung Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
Shortly afterwards was steadied when crowded between FREE PONY and TARGET AUDIENCE which was taken out by WONDERSTAR.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 3 GENEVA (J114) B Avdulla Raced keenly in the middle stages.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 GRACIOUS EXPRESS (J188) J Orman Bumped at the start.
After the event, J Orman advised that his mount travelled satisfactorily in an on-pace position and came under pressure on the Home Turn before giving ground in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 KING OF DUBAI (J433) H Bentley Jumped only fairly.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 9 TARGET AUDIENCE (K107) A Badel Shifted in on jumping and made contact with WONDERSTAR.
Then raced tight to the inside of WINNING OVATION for some distance thereafter.
After travelling a short distance was crowded between WINNING OVATION and WONDERSTAR which shifted out.
Lay in under pressure over the final 150 Metres.
Horse No 10 BLAZING WIND (J157) M Chadwick From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 12 SAVVY WARRIOR (K257) M F Poon Bumped at the start.
For a short distance approaching the 350 Metres was held up for clear running.
Horse No 13 WONDERSTAR (J531) P N Wong Bumped at the start.
Horse No 14 LEGENDARY IMPACT (K035) K Teetan Withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards (inadvertent treatment).
An inquiry into the matter was adjourned to a date to be fixed to allow Trainer W K Mo to attend who was not currently present in Hong Kong.
Before being allowed to race again, LEGENDARY IMPACT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Geneva won going away 80m out after pushing into the open at the 250m following a rails run from midfield for a third win from 10 starts. Lifeline Express dived late to just get the nose down for second after settling four back on the fence. He's racing very well this season. Lo Pan Spirit kept on well for third after slotting one-out, one-back from gate 12. He can bob up at any moment. Moduleconstruction succumbed late for fourth after chasing the leader Wonderstar from gate 13. He's improved from one run to the next following a suspensory injury. Blazing Wind worked home nicely down the outside for fifth after making his run at the back from gate 14. He's produced mixed results four times in this grade following a win. Target Audience made some ground without threatening after a wide trip with cover from behind midfield. It wasn't a bad effort on his local debut. Savvy Warrior got going late after making his run four from the rear. Winning Ovation was next best after a wide trip without cover from midfield.
