Racing Incident Report
Race Four : (575) - KING'S PARK HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 YEE CHEONG SPIRIT (H379) B Avdulla From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 2 GAMEPLAYER ELITE (H356) H Bowman Crowded shortly after the start.
Near the 600 Metres shifted out when being steadied away from CIRCUIT FIERY and was bumped.
Horse No 3 SOVEREIGN FUND (J402) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 KING VICTOR (K042) A Hamelin On jumping was steadied when crowded between SUPER SICARIO and VICTORYTHIRTYTHREE, both of which shifted ground.
After travelling a short distance blundered.
Lay out making the first turn and approaching the 800 Metres got its head up and shifted out when being steadied away from HARMONY N HOME.
Near the 600 Metres became unbalanced when bumped by GAMEPLAYER ELITE which shifted out when being steadied away from CIRCUIT FIERY.
The racing manners and performance of KING VICTOR were considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, KING VICTOR will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 HARMONY N HOME (C531) Y L Chung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 7 EXCEED THE WISH (J480) L Hewitson Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between GAMEPLAYER ELITE and SOVEREIGN FUND (K Teetan) which shifted out before being corrected by its rider.
K Teetan was advised that in similar circumstances he would be required to straighten his mounts sooner than what he did on this occasion.
Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when positioned close to GOOD PROSPECT.
Horse No 8 SUPER SICARIO (K306) K De Melo Jumped only fairly.
In the middle stages raced keenly and near the 800 Metres was steadied to avoid YOUNG HORIZON.
Horse No 9 EXCELLENT PEERS (G033) M Chadwick Crowded shortly after the start.
Horse No 10 GOOD PROSPECT (J406) K C Leung After the event, K C Leung reported that the instructions were to hold a midfield position.
He said from barrier 1 and when GOOD PROSPECT commenced well and the early stages of the race were run slightly outside of standard time he was able to take up a more forward position without pressuring to do so.
Trainer T P Yung confirmed the instructions issued.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 YOUNG HORIZON (G272) M L Yeung Crowded shortly after the start.
In the early and middle stages raced keenly and for some distance after the 800 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from EXCEED THE WISH.
Near the 100 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of EXCELLENT PEERS to continue into clear running.
Horse No 12 CIRCUIT FIERY (H475) A Badel Shortly after the start was bumped by EXCELLENT PEERS and became unbalanced.
Near the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid VICTORYTHIRTYTHREE.

Sovereign Fund led from gate two, straightened two lengths on top and never looked back for a first win at his 12th local start. He was able to build on a speed-tracking fourth last start. Favourite Good Prospect just held on for second after getting all favours in the box seat. He's racing very well without winning. Harmony N Home just failed to get up for second after a prominent run wide without cover the entire trip. It was another solid effort carrying seven pounds more following a win. Gameplayer Elite ran on nicely to just miss a placing after settling one off from behind midfield. He was able to build on a rallying second last start and a win is around the corner. Excellent Peers ran on without threatening after making his run three from the rear. It was another typical performance. Exceed The Wish made some headway along the inside following a rails run from midfield. He's still a work in progress. Both Yee Cheong Spirit and the late-fancied Young Horizon failed to get into the act after making their runs towards the rear.
