Recap by phillip woo

Youth Power settled in the box seat, worked to the lead 400m out and kept finding for a third win from 10 starts this term. He was back to the mark of a winning run in December. Post-time favourite Beauty Viva made good ground late near the inside for second after making his run two from the rear. He handled a rise in trip and should find his mark shorty in this grade. Punted late Oriental Smoke stayed on well for third after a oneout, one-back run. He's a winner waiting to happen with placings in four of his past five starts. Ping Hai Comet ran on well for fourth after peeling three wide without cover from better than midfield nearing the final bend. It was his best performance from eight starts. Joyful Prosperity came from last for fifth. Kasa Papa ran on for fifth after making his run one from the rear. He went OK but has found things harder in his past five starts after a breakthrough win. Gluck Racer just held his ground after a rails run from midfield. Volcanic Spirit never landed a blow after making his run towards the rear.
