Racing Incident Report
Race One : (697) - PAKISTAN STAR PLATE - Class GRIFFIN - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 QUICK MONEY (K377) C L Chau After the event C L Chau reported that he expected to hold a midfield position.
He added when caught wide in the early stages he allowed QUICK MONEY to stride forward and cross runners to his inside to avoid covering additional ground.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 KING DANCE (K157) L Hewitson After the event L Hewitson reported that his mount, which was having its first race start, raced greenly during the race.
Horse No 4 LIGHT YEARS GLORY (K204) M Chadwick Near the 100 Metres improved into a narrow run between FIELD MARSHAL and BABIECA.
A short distance later FIELD MARSHAL shifted out slightly and BABIECA was taken in by QUICK MONEY which resulted in LIGHT YEARS GLORY being crowded and becoming unbalanced.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 MOTOR (K165) K C Leung Between the 400 Metres and the 250 Metres was held up for clear running.
Horse No 6 SPARKLE AND GOLD (K259) A Atzeni Bumped shortly after the start.
Over the final 100 Metres lay in and could not be fully ridden out when improving to the outside of HYANNIS STAR.
Horse No 8 BABIECA (K326) Z Purton Near the 100 Metres raced tight to the inside of QUICK MONEY and made contact with LIGHT YEARS GLORY.
In this incident Z Purton was restricted from being able to use his whip when it accidentally made contact with LIGHT YEARS GLORY.
Horse No 9 FIELD MARSHAL (K433) M L Yeung Shifted in abruptly on jumping, became unbalanced and made contact with WINNING CHAMPION.
Near the 100 Metres made contact with LIGHT YEARS GLORY when commencing to give ground.
Horse No 10 HYANNIS STAR (K331) L Ferraris On jumping was crowded between WINNING CHAMPION and SPARKLE AND GOLD.
After the event L Ferraris reported that his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover throughout the race.
He said HYANNIS STAR also raced greenly throughout the race and these were the reasons why the horse was not able to run on in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 WIN METHOD (K406) H Bentley Approaching the 100 Metres raced greenly when improving into a narrow run between QUICK MONEY and HYANNIS STAR.
Horse No 12 WINNING CHAMPION (K429) M F Poon On jumping was checked when crowded between HYANNIS STAR which shifted out slightly and FIELD MARSHAL which shifted in abruptly despite the efforts of its rider.
In the Home Straight lay in and raced greenly and after the 50 Metres was held up behind FIELD MARSHAL and shifted to that runner's outside to continue into clear running.
Horse No 2 KIAMA (K359) B Avdulla Withdrawn on 23.5.25 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left hind).
Before being allowed to race again, KIAMA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

After a rails run from behind midfield, Light Years Glory wove a run near the inside to claim favourite Quick Money on the wire for a smart debut win. He looks to have a bright future. Quick Money did everything but get the win after poking his head in front 100m out after travelling third and one off the fence. It was another solid run carrying top weight over a longer trip following a win. Babieca found a couple just too good after tracking the leader Field Marshal from gate seven. It was another honest performance despite a rise in trip. Motor ran on for fourth after a one-off trip from better than midfield. He's shown progress in his past two of three starts. Win Method stayed on evenly after a handy run along the inside. He's still a work in progress. Field Marshal knocked up late after rushing forward to lead from the widest draw. It wasn't a bad run.
