Racing Incident Report
Race Nine : (745) - ON YAM HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters
Horse No 2 LA FORZA (J285) Z Purton Near the 350 Metres was steadied and shifted in to avoid FUN ELITE.
Near the 100 Metres was eased when crowded between WE ARE HERO and FUN ELITE which shifted in and away from METRO POWER after being taken in by METRO POWER.
After the event Z Purton stated that his mount jumped only fairly and settled further back in the field than anticipated.
He added whilst LA FORZA experienced some difficulty obtaining clear running towards the finish of the event it finished the race off only fairly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 DREAM WINNER (H308) C L Chau Jumped only fairly, shifted out and made contact with STAR PERFORMER.
Horse No 4 FAST RESPONDER (J295) M Chadwick Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 SUNNY DA BEST (J118) A Atzeni Between the 500 Metres and the 400 Metres was held up for clear running.
Horse No 6 THE REVOLUTION (K092) Y L Chung Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start was checked when crowded between SPARKLING FELLOW and WE ARE HERO which was taken out by JOLLY RULER which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider.
For some distance after the 700 Metres was taken in by DREAM WINNER which shifted in to race in the middle of the track.
Horse No 7 MAJESTIC EXPRESS (J244) B Avdulla Between the 500 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 SPARKLING FELLOW (K175) K Teetan Bumped at the start.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 MAGIC HALLOW (J329) P N Wong When giving ground near the 150 Metres was steadied when crowded between LA FORZA and FUN ELITE which was taken in by METRO POWER.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer" which had previously been reported.
Horse No 11 PARENTS' LOVE (H405) A Badel Blundered at the start.
Horse No 12 STAR PERFORMER (K207) L Hewitson Jumped awkwardly and then was bumped by DREAM WINNER.
Shortly after the start STAR PERFORMER was steadied when crowded by PARENTS' LOVE which blundered on jumping and shifted in.
Horse No 14 FUN ELITE (J042) H Bentley Leaving the 400 Metres MAGIC HALLOW lay out, resulting in FUN ELITE racing tight between METRO POWER and MAGIC HALLOW.
Then near the 350 Metres FUN ELITE was crowded for room for some distance between MAGIC HALLOW which continued to lay out despite the efforts of its rider and METRO POWER (B Thompson) which shifted to the inside of PARENTS' LOVE to obtain clear running.
B Thompson was severely reprimanded and advised he must ensure he leaves sufficient racing room for other runners when shifting ground.

Majestic Express settled four from the rear zipped home late on the grandstand side to just nip Fast Responder in the last stride. He lived up to an eye-catching second last start over 1,200m. Fast Responder was just collared at juicy odds after hitting the lead 60m out following a handy run. It wasn't a surprise effort after having excuses in three of four starts. Sunny Da Best ran on nicely to finish a close third after making his run near the stands side travelling midfield. It was a good effort. Parents' Love grudgingly gave way after leading from a middle draw 700m out. He continues to race well over the minimum trip across both tracks following a third win this term in April. Fun Elite should have finished closer after getting hampered near the 300m and held up for a run until the 150m travelling better than midfield. Metro Power was stopping 50m out after chasing the speed on the stands side. Favourite La Forza had an excuse without a clear run over the final 400m settling behind midfield after a slow start.
