Early favourite Dragon Four Seas worked to the lead 1,100m out from gate six and never looked back for a fifth win this term and fourth from his past five starts following a switch to the Valley 1,200m. Power Koepp stayed on nicely for second after a handy run one off the fence. He has not missed a quinella spot in five runs, including two wins, after a stable change. Young Arrow ran on nicely for third after making his run three from the rear. It was a good effort despite a return to Class Three following a win. Storming Dragon was full of running late down the outside for fourth after a patient ride second last from gate 12. He continues to rack up minor prize money in eight of his past nine starts . Storm Rider only plodded after getting all favours in the box seat from gate one. He couldn't offset top weight following a win. Happy Fat Cat was on his tippy toes 100m out after chasing the eventual winner one out from gate eight. Kyrus Dragon ran on reasonably well after switching off the fence to have one wider out at the 150m following a patient ride. It was an encouraging effort after a setback with a ligament injury in March.

Race Nine : (786) - SELKIRK HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters

Horse No 1 STORM RIDER (J027) H Bowman Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 3 POWER KOEPP (E301) A Badel For a short distance near the 300 Metres was held up for clear running behind TRIUMPHANT MORE.

Over the final 100 Metres shifted in under pressure, resulting in its rider A Badel having to straighten approaching the winning post.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 4 CHARMING LEGEND (K127) M F Poon A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.

Before being allowed to race again, CHARMING LEGEND will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 5 KYRUS DRAGON (H396) B Avdulla From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Over the concluding stages was hampered when taken in by STORMING DRAGON (B Thompson) which shifted in under riding.

B Thompson was reprimanded.

Horse No 6 TRIUMPHANT MORE (J489) J Orman Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Horse No 7 DRAGON FOUR SEAS (J317) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 8 SIR CHARGE (K361) M Chadwick Jumped awkwardly and shortly afterwards made contact with EASON and then raced tight to the inside of EASON for some distance thereafter.

Approaching the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid POWER KOEPP (A Badel) which shifted in when not quite clear.

A Badel was advised to exercise more care.

Horse No 9 EASON (G061) K C Leung Bumped shortly after the start and became unbalanced.

EASON then raced tight to the outside of SIR CHARGE for some distance thereafter.

Horse No 10 STORMING DRAGON (J237) B Thompson From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 11 YOUNG ARROW (J401) A Atzeni Over the concluding stages lay in under pressure, resulting in its rider A Atzeni having to correct his mount.

Horse No 12 EVERSTAR (K264) H Bentley After the event H Bentley reported that his mount raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages and did not settle.

He added over the concluding stages EVERSTAR could not be ridden out to the finish when held up between HAPPY FAT CAT and TRIUMPHANT MORE.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Additions to Racing Incidents Report of 22 June 2025 Sha Tin Racemeeting Race 4 (770) REGENCY WIN WIN - Shortly after the start was steadied from the heels of RED MAJESTY when taken out by MISTER DAPPER which shifted out and away from PEARL OF PANG'S.

Race 5 (771) PERIDOT - Lay in and raced greenly in the Home Straight, resulting in its rider H Bowman having to change his whip through to his right hand approaching the 200 Metres.
