Racing Incident Report
Race Four : (790) - BEAS RIVER HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 ABSOLUTE HONOUR (K260) Y L Chung Crowded near the 800 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 BASIC INSTINCT (K289) K De Melo In the early stages was shifted across behind runners.
Horse No 4 GOLDENTRONICMIGHTY (K002) B Avdulla Jumped only fairly.
Near the 250 Metres lay in and was bumped.
Horse No 5 COPARTNER FLEET (K342) Z Purton Leaving the 800 Metres got its head up when being steadied whilst in the lead.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 A LA CHAMP (K179) B Thompson Near the 800 Metres was steadied when crowded by ABSOLUTE HONOUR which was taken in by GLORIOUS KINGDOM (J Orman) when that runner hung in and away from GOLDENTRONICMIGHTY despite the efforts of its rider J Orman.
As the Stewards were satisfied that Jockey Orman had made every endeavour to prevent his mount from shifting in no action was taken.
After the race an endoscopic examination was conducted on A LA CHAMP at the request of Trainer T P Yung.
The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, A LA CHAMP will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 7 BETTER AND BETTER (K277) M L Yeung For a short distance after the 400 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.
Horse No 8 GLORIOUS KINGDOM (K269) J Orman After the event J Orman stated that the intention was to hold a more forward position but after jumping only fairly his mount was then crowded between WINNING MACHINE and RUN RAN RUN, both of which shifted ground which resulted in GLORIOUS KINGDOM settling further back.
He added that his mount, which was having its first race start, hung in throughout the event and near the 800 Metres was steadied to avoid LOVEISINTHEAIR.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 12 LOVEISINTHEAIR (J550) A Atzeni Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 13 RUN RAN RUN (J108) A Badel Near the 250 Metres was bumped by GOLDENTRONICMIGHTY which lay in.
Horse No 14 SHINE BRIGHT (H385) M Chadwick Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Copartner Fleet led from gate three and kicked well in the straight drive for a maiden win after a close debut second last month. The three-year-old has the tools to head higher. Punted late Loveisintheair finished strongly through the centre to take second after slotting one off with cover travelling behind midfield from gate 12. It was his best effort from seven starts. Goldentronicmighty ran on nicely near the outside for third after a wide with cover trip travelling behind midfield from gate 13. He was able to brush off a flat effort last start after back-to-back wins. Better And Better stayed on fourth best after a one-off trip from better than midfield. He's run well in his past two of three starts but is still a work in progress. Winning Machine gradually faded after parking three wide without cover in third from gate nine. It was a better effort.
