Racing Incident Report
Race Three : (841) - LET ME FIGHT HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 2 ARGENTO OCEAN (K322) H Bowman From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 350 Metres was steadied when racing tight to the inside of NIGHT PUROSANGUE which shifted in when being steadied to avoid BETTER AND BETTER.
Near the 200 Metres was again steadied and shifted to the outside of BROWNNEEDSFURTHER to continue into clear running.
Horse No 3 BROWNNEEDSFURTHER (K325) J Orman Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 LUCKY FIELD (K292) K De Melo From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the event K De Melo stated that his mount made a respiratory noise during the running of the race.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 BETTER AND BETTER (K277) M F Poon Jumped only fairly.
After the event M F Poon stated that his mount became unbalanced after being bumped by BROWNNEEDSFURTHER near the 400 Metres and did not finish the race off in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 SOLAR RIVER (J308) H Bentley On jumping made contact with LA MOMENTO and shifted in, resulting in SOLAR RIVER making contact with NIGHT PUROSANGUE and becoming unbalanced.
Horse No 7 CALIFORNIA BLITZ (J370) A Hamelin Near the 100 Metres made contact with ALWAYS MY FOLKS.
Horse No 8 LA MOMENTO (J476) Y L Chung Bumped at the start.
After the event Y L Chung stated that his mount hung out making the turns in the middle stages and as a result was eased down in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The racing manners and performance of LA MOMENTO, which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, LA MOMENTO will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 9 LUCKY SAM GOR (K114) M Chadwick Shortly after the start was crowded.
In this incident was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced.
Near the 550 Metres was momentarily crowded between MEGA BONUS and ALWAYS MY FOLKS which shifted in slightly.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 VULCANUS (J150) K C Leung Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 ALWAYS MY FOLKS (J345) K Teetan Lost its left front plate after leaving the Parade Ring, was replated at the Start and found suitable to race.
Jumped only fairly.
Near the 100 Metres made contact with CALIFORNIA BLITZ.
After the event K Teetan stated that the instructions were to hold an on-pace position.
He said when caught very wide on the first turn he had to continue forward and cross runners to his inside but when unable to cross LUCKY SAM GOR and MEGA BONUS, his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
He added this was the reason why his mount gave ground over the concluding stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 NIGHT PUROSANGUE (J510) B Thompson Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between LUCKY SAM GOR which shifted out after making contact with MEGA BONUS and SOLAR RIVER which shifted in and away from LA MOMENTO after making contact with that runner.
Near the 350 Metres was steadied to avoid BETTER AND BETTER.
Horse No AUTUMN DELIGHT (J090) A Atzeni Withdrawn on 15.7.25 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (right front tendon injury) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter SOLAR RIVER.

Vulcanus had a handy run on the fence and after hitting the lead along the inside 150m out, he edged clear for a second win and first on the turf from 17 starts this season. Brownneedsfurther ran on nicely near the inside for second after biding his time fourth last from gate one. It was a much-improved effort with a switch to the Valley at his second ever start. Favourite Lucky Sam Gor gradually gave way after making his run third in between the leading pair from gate five. It was another good effort at his initial start at the Valley. Argento Ocean wove a run to take fourth after making his run two from the rear. He was able to build on an encouraging run on debut last month at Sha Tin. Mega Bonus gradually faded after spearing to the lead from gate four. He has kept on well for fifth in back-to-back runs since a win. California Blitz ran on without threatening after a wide trip behind midfield from gate 12. It wasn't a bad effort. Always My Folks was on his tippy toes 150m out after prompting the pace three wide and without cover from gate 10. Solar River will sleep well after a wide and without cover trip from midfield.
