Race Three : (3) - THE HKSAR CHIEF EXECUTIVE'S CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 1 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 KA YING RISING (J062) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 LUCKY SWEYNESSE (G180) K C Leung Near the 250 Metres rider K C Leung dropped his whip.
Lay in in the Home Straight.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 LUCKY WITH YOU (E356) A Atzeni Approaching the 150 Metres was steadied when crowded by GORGEOUS WIN (Apprentice P N Wong) which shifted in.
Whilst the Stewards accepted that Apprentice Wong had made some effort to prevent her mount from shifting in she was advised to exercise more care.
Horse No 4 BEAUTY WAVES (H294) A Badel Near the 800 Metres BEAUTY WAVES, which was racing keenly, was checked to avoid BOTTOMUPTOGETHER (M F Poon) which shifted in when not clear as its rider eased the pace.
M F Poon was reprimanded.
After the event A Badel stated that his mount jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
He said in the early stages BEAUTY WAVES then raced keenly and after being checked making the first turn finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 VICTOR THE WINNER (G404) H Bentley Between the 350 Metres and the 250 Metres rider H Bentley had difficulty fully testing his mount when his whip became entangled in his rein.
Horse No 6 COPARTNER PRANCE (H408) K De Melo The explanation provided by Jockey K De Melo for returning to scale overweight was accepted.
Horse No 7 RAGING BLIZZARD (H368) M L Yeung Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running and when being shifted across the heels of HARMONY N BLESSED, RAGING BLIZZARD blundered.
Horse No 8 MAGIC CONTROL (J333) M Chadwick Jumped awkwardly.
Between the 250 Metres and the 100 Metres was held up for clear running.
Horse No 10 DIVANO (J142) Y L Chung Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 12 HARMONY N BLESSED (E061) K Teetan Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Ka Ying Rising tracked the speed before rushing to the lead 270m out and winning geared down, ringing up a 14th win and 13 on the bounce from 16 starts. The reigning Horse of the Year is a class above the rest and can showcase his talents next up in Australia's Everest Stakes. Lucky Sweynesse ran on nicely for second after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was a solid effort from the seven-year-old and former Champion Sprinter. Divano wove a run near the inside for third after biding his time second last from gate six. It was a solid run. Gorgeous Win ran on nicely for fourth after a wide trip travelling third last from gate 11. He does go well first up and did appreciate the claimer's allowance. Bottomuptogether was on his tippy toes 100m out after dictating the pace from gate seven. It wasn't a bad effort against the top sprinters in town. Raging Blizzard made headway late after making his run three from the rear.
