Racing Incident Report
Race Nine : (93) - SHING MUN HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 LADY'S CHOICE (H155) K C Leung Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 TOMODACHI KOKOROE (H303) H Bentley Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 GORGEOUS WIN (J008) H Bowman Crowded at the start.
After the event H Bowman stated that his mount responded only fairly to his riding in the Home Straight and shortened stride during the middle stages of the race.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 YOUNG CHAMPION (J195) B Avdulla Jumped only fairly.
In the early stages raced ungenerously when being shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
Near the 250 Metres was steadied when crowded between DANCING CODE and GORGEOUS WIN (H Bowman) which shifted out.
H Bowman was advised to exercise more care.
Horse No 5 DANCING CODE (G365) E C W Wong Jumped only fairly and then was crowded between MID WINTER WIND and GORGEOUS WIN which was taken out by LADY'S CHOICE.
After the event Apprentice E C W Wong stated that after being crowded at the start DANCING CODE settled further back than anticipated and found it difficult to make up ground from back in the field.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 MASTEROFMYUNIVERSE (J325) Z Purton Jumped awkwardly.
Between the 400 Metres and the 250 Metres lay in as it improved into a narrow run between BRAVE STAR and WONDER KIT.
Horse No 8 WONDER KIT (G455) P N Wong Shifted out on jumping, resulting in its rider having to straighten his mount.
In the Home Straight had some difficulty obtaining clear running when positioned to the inside of BABY CRYSTAL.
Horse No 9 MID WINTER WIND (K208) L Hewitson Shifted in on jumping and was bumped on the hindquarters.
After the event L Hewitson stated that his mount came under pressure at the 500 Metres and did not finish the race off in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 BRAVE STAR (G268) A Atzeni On jumping was crowded by WONDER KIT which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider.

Tomodachi Kokoroe settled prominently and wide without cover from gate 11 but still got up in the final few strides to defeat Lady's Choice for a sixth win at his 33rd start. Lady's Choice found one just too good after leading 100m out travelling one off with cover in third from gate four. He's very good over the Sha Tin 1,200m. Baby Crystal kept on gamely for third after leading one off the entire trip from gate 10. It was a better run following a downgrade and retrying 1,200m. Aeris Nova ran on late down the outside after making his run near the rear from gate 12. He's finished in the mix in three consecutive runs up in Class Two after a win. Wonder Kit was next best after being short of room at times in the straight run following a pace-prompting run along the inside. Sky Trust made some ground without menacing with a few wider out after a one-off trip travelling better than midfield from gate nine. He wasn't good enough up in grade.
