Recap by phillip woo

Punted late Special Hedge sat handy on the fence and just got the better of Firefoot 100m out for a third win on his 28th start. He relished the step up to 1,800m after resuming a close fourth last month over 1,600m. Firefoot nearly stole the race after getting an easy time up front from gate six. He's shown natural progress on each of his four starts this term. Sharpen Bright stayed on a distant third after sitting one off without cover in third from gate 10. It was a return to form following a downgrade. Charity Together finished well for fourth after making his run third last from gate 14. It was clearly his best run from six local starts following a downgrade. Ocean Impact ran on steadily for fifth after a rails run from midfield. It was another honest effort. Packing Hurricane kept on one paced after sitting on the leader's back from gate 13. It was better performance at his second starts down in Class Four this term.
