Race Eight : (111) - LEK YUEN HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 CHATEAUNEUF (J219) H Bowman Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when positioned close to HEALTHY HEALTHY.
Horse No 2 PATCH OF STARS (J343) Z Purton Between the 400 Metres and the 350 Metres was held up for clear running.
Near the 350 Metres shifted out to improve to the outside of COPARTNER FLEET and made contact with SKY JOY.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 SAVVY BRILLIANT (J437) A Atzeni Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 STAR RISE (K516) M F Poon Jumped awkwardly.
Horse No 6 SKY JOY (K026) C L Chau Near the 350 Metres was bumped and taken wider by PATCH OF STARS which shifted out to improve.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 WOLF COMING (K353) R Kingscote From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 9 STAR SATYR (K231) Y L Chung Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 10 COPARTNER FLEET (K342) K Teetan K Teetan reported that he had to make some use of his mount to obtain a position outside the lead in the early stages from his outside barrier.
He added whilst COPARTNER FLEET travelled satisfactorily in the middle stages it then failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 LIGHT YEARS GLORY (K204) M Chadwick The tongue tie was replaced at the saddling stalls.
Horse No 12 HEALTHY HEALTHY (H203) H Bentley H Bentley advised that the instructions were to go forward and lead the event.
Horse No 8 ALL TOO BRAVE (K493) A Badel After arriving behind the starting gates was found to have lost its left front plate.
When the horse was unable to be replated it was withdrawn by order of the Stewards.
Before being allowed to race again, ALL TOO BRAVE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Firming favourite Patch Of Stars from better than midfield on the fence got up 150m out for a fourth win from 11 starts. He appreciated the step back to 1,200m after an okay sixth first up over 1,400m this term. Sky Joy ran on nicely for second after a prominent run one off the fence. It was a solid effort at his first start in 273 days following a lame right fore injury. Infinite Resolve stayed on a close third after a one-off trip from midfield. He can bob up at any moment after placing in his past two of three starts this term. Star Rise made a good bid late down the outside for fourth after a patient ride three from the rear. It was another good run after a debut second. Healthy Healthy gradually faded after dictating the run from gate nine. He's an honest sprinter across both tracks. Light Years Glory ran on steadily for sixth after a rails run from behind midfield. Chateauneuf failed to fire after getting all favours from gate five. He's more effective at the Valley nowadays.
