Recap by phillip woo

Early favourite Day Day Victory travelled one off in midfield and stormed through the centre to get the better of Healthy Healthy in the concluding stages for a third win and first in Class Four from 20 starts. Healthy Healthy did everything right but get the win after a handy run along the inside. He's close to a win if he stays in the grade. Late-fancied favourite Mr Desira kept on gamely for third after leading one off from a wide draw 800m out. It was a good run with a step back in distance after a win last month. Harmony Fire ran on well for fourth after a wide trip from behind midfield. He's run well for fourths in back-to-back runs after resuming a winner. Star Performer kept on better for fifth after sitting third wide and without cover from gate six. Heroic Master was doing his best work late to finish next best after settling last from gate 12. It was an improved effort first up this term with a return to his preferred Valley 1,000m.
