Race Five : (145) - THE HONG KONG COUNTRY CLUB CHALLENGE CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 3 WINNING DATA (H230) R Kingscote Approaching the 500 Metres shifted out when being steadied to avoid SIGHT DREAMER.
Horse No 4 ARGENTO OCEAN (K322) H Bowman H Bowman stated that whilst he was asked to endeavour to hold a forward position, when his mount jumped well today, he elected to take advantage of the good start to cross in the early stages which resulted in ARGENTO OCEAN holding a more forward position than expected.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 WINNING CIGAR (K422) K C Leung Slow to begin.
Horse No 7 AUTUMN VIBES (K150) Z Purton A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 EXCEED THE WISH (J480) L Hewitson Shortly after the start was steadied to avoid ARGENTO OCEAN which shifted out slightly.
From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 300 Metres shifted out when improving into a tight run between SIGHT DREAMER and BROWNNEEDSFURTHER.
Horse No 9 SIGHT DREAMER (J542) A Atzeni Making the Home Turn was taken wider by EXCEED THE WISH which shifted out.
Bumped near the 300 Metres.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 10 LUCKY MCQUEEN (K064) M Chadwick M Chadwick reported that his instructions were to hold an on-pace position.
He said when LUCKY MCQUEEN jumped only fairly and then raced greenly during the race it settled further back in the field than what had been intended.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 SMART ENGINEER (K244) D Probert Near the 100 Metres shifted out, resulting in its rider D Probert having to stop riding and straighten his mount.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 WIN METHOD (K406) H Bentley From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No FLYING WROTE (J290) C L Chau Withdrawn on 31.10.25 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (heart irregularity) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter SUPER PACE.
Before being allowed to race again, FLYING WROTE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Favourite at the jump, Argento Ocean pinged the start to sit third on the fence from gate nine and took control 150m out for a maiden win at his fifth start. He should remain in the grade and can win again. Punted late Lucky McQueen ran on nicely near the inside for second after making his run five back on the fence. It was his best run to date following a switch to the Valley. Early favourite Brownneedsfurther ran on nicely through the centre to just take third after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He's a winner waiting to happen. Autumn Vibes lost a placing late after rolling forward to lead 850m out from gate 11. He can bob up at any moment. Exceed The Wish ran on nicely with two wider out to just miss a first-four spot after biding his time third last from gate 10. He's caught the eye in each of his three runs this term. Everstar was on his tippy toes 100m out after handing up the lead to sit second from gate six. It was a better effort.
