Race Five : (164) - CANMAKE TOKYO HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 LIFELINE EXPRESS (H439) H Bowman H Bowman advised that his mount, which was racing first up today, made ground in the early stages of the Home Straight but its run peaked near the 100 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 INFINITE RESOLVE (K369) L Ferraris In the Home Straight lay in and proved difficult to ride out.
Near the 100 Metres made contact with the running rail.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 CIRCUIT GRAND SLAM (K201) P N Wong Jumped awkwardly.
Over the final 200 Metres hung in under pressure and proved difficult to ride out to the finish of the race.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 MATTERS MOST (K154) E C W Wong Near the 500 Metres was bumped.
Bumped near the 100 Metres.
Horse No 5 SUNNY DA BEST (J118) C Y Ho Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was badly held up for clear running behind ETERNAL RICHNESS.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 ALL TOO BRAVE (K493) A Badel After travelling a short distance made contact with ETERNAL RICHNESS which shifted in.
Near the 1000 Metres was steadied away from CALIFORNIA BLUES.
Horse No 7 BIGTIME GENERATION (K496) C L Chau Noted to have blood in the mouth on arrival at the Start.
Was examined by the Veterinary Officer and found to be suitable to race.
Bumped shortly after the start.
Horse No 8 CALIFORNIA BLUES (K509) Y L Chung Leaving the 1000 Metres BIGTIME GENERATION shifted to the outside of MATTERS MOST when being crossed by that runner, resulting in OTOKOMAE being taken wider and CALIFORNIA BLUES then being eased when awkwardly placed close to the heels of OTOKOMAE.
Horse No 9 ETERNAL RICHNESS (K557) H Doyle After travelling a short distance was bumped.
Bumped near the 900 Metres.
Near the 500 Metres made contact with MATTERS MOST when that runner shifted out to improve to the outside of INFINITE RESOLVE.
H Doyle reported that her mount, which was having its first race start in Hong Kong, raced greenly throughout the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Near the 900 Metres made contact with ETERNAL RICHNESS when racing tight to the inside of that runner.
Horse No 11 TAOGETHER (K520) K Teetan Jumped awkwardly.
Near the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid CALIFORNIA BLUES.
Between the 350 Metres and the 250 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.
Horse No 12 SUGAR SUGAR (G016) M Chadwick Near the 100 Metres made contact with MATTERS MOST when racing tight to the inside of that runner.

Outsider Circuit Grand Slam was given a patient ride from gate 11 under claimer Britney Wong and finished nicely down the outside to take control 50m out for a debut win in Hong Kong. Sunny Da Best ran on nicely for second after getting held up early straight following a one-off trip from behind midfield. He's run well in both starts this term. Favourite Infinite Resolve succumbed late after working hard to eventually lead 850m out from gate 12. He's a winner in waiting with placing in three consecutive runs. Matters Most just held onto fourth after handing up the front to travel box seat. It was an okay effort carrying a few pounds more. Taogether made good ground late near the outside to just miss fourth prize money after making his run near the rear from gate seven. It was an encouraging debut run in Hong Kong. Sugar Sugar ran on steadily to finish on the bottom of a three-horse go for fourth after a rail run from midfield. He prefers the Valley.
