Recap by phillip woo

Brown-lamped Bucephalas settled better than midfield and took control 150m out for a first win at his sixth local start. Favourite The Golden Knight ran on nicely for second after a patient ride third last from gate seven. He's building towards a win with placings in his past two starts. Winning Data ran on well near the inside for third after straightening four deep following a one-off trip from behind midfield. He appreciated a return to his favourite 1,400m. Oldtown ran on nicely for fourth after getting held up early in the straight travelling fourth last on the fence from gate 13. It was another good effort carrying 7lb more over a longer trip following a win over 1,200m. Top Peak gradually faded after leading from gate nine. It was a better effort over his preferred 1,400m trip at his second outing this term. All Round Winner came up one paced after a handy run wide and without cover from gate eight for a majority of the race.
