Racing Incident Report
Race Eight : (215) - GLEN OGLE VIADUCT HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 EMBRACES (J276) C L Chau Shortly after the start was hampered when taken wider by THE BOOM BOX.
Near the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid HARMONY GALAXY when the pace of the event eased.
Horse No 2 THE BOOM BOX (K076) C Y Ho Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 A AMERIC TE SPECSO (H037) A Atzeni Jumped only fairly and then was crowded between EMBRACES and NOVA KNIGHT.
Near the 1000 Metres shifted out when being steadied away from EMBRACES.
A Atzeni reported that his mount settled back in the field and was disadvantaged by the pace of the event being run outside of standard time in the middle stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 KING LOTUS (K186) L Hewitson Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 COLOURFUL GAN (L054) R Kingscote Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 9 HARMONY GALAXY (J266) M F Poon Bumped at the start.
When the pace of the event steadied near the 1000 Metres commenced to race keenly and was steadied away from SURE JOYFUL.
Horse No 10 NOVA KNIGHT (K518) M L Yeung On jumping made contact with A AMERIC TE SPECSO and as a result became unbalanced and blundered.
Horse No 11 SURE JOYFUL (G125) K Teetan Bumped at the start.
Held up on the Home Turn.
Horse No 12 MIGHTY STEED (J384) H Doyle In the Home Straight lay out under pressure and proved difficult to ride out.

The Boom Box let down nicely from behind midfield to just get the better of favourite King Lotus at his first time of asking over the Valley 1,650m for a fourth career win at his ninth start. King Lotus found one better on the day after a speed-tracking run outside Mighty Steed. He's holding his form very well to place in three consecutive runs at this level following a win. Mighty Steed would not go down without a fight after mustering to lead 1,300m out from gate 12. It was an improved effort at his second run in the grade after a win. Storming Dragon ran on nicely to snatch fourth after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was his best effort from three straight runs following a step up to 1,650m. Punted late Keen Molly just held his ground after a prominent run. He had no excuse. Nova Knight kept on one paced after settling fifth and one off the fence. It was a better effort with a switch to the Valley and step up to 1,650m at his third local start. A Americ Te Specso ran on late without threatening down the outside after making his run at the rear. He wasn't suited by the muddling pace.
