Come Fast Fay Fay had a rails run in midfield and after being held up for a run until the 300m, he came off heels and quickened to lead 50m out for a first win at his 10th start. Majestic Delight found one just too good after leading 50m out following a handy run one off the fence. He's a winner in waiting at this level. He Was Me just got up to win the battle for third with Yee Cheong Raider after getting held up between the 300m and 150m following a one-off trip from behind midfield. Yee Cheong Raider ran on nicely with two wider out to just miss a placing after a patient ride third last from gate 13. It was a good run. Sparkle And Gold made ground late through the centre for fifth after biding his time four from the rear. It was an improved effort.

Race One : (444) - KUNG HEI HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Meters

Horse No 1 SPARKLE AND GOLD (K259) B Avdulla Shifted in at the start and was bumped.

Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when unable to improve between COME FAST FAY FAY and MAJESTIC DELIGHT which shifted out.

Horse No 2 COME FAST FAY FAY (K121) R Kingscote Made contact with the left side of its starting gate on jumping and shortly after was then hampered when crowded by SPARKLE AND GOLD which shifted in.

Shortly after the start was steadied and shifted to the inside of MR GOOD VIBES to obtain a position closer to the rail.

Between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of MAJESTIC DELIGHT.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 3 ALWAYS MY FOLKS (J345) D B McMonagle After the race an endoscopic examination was conducted on ALWAYS MY FOLKS at the request of Trainer C S Shum.

The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.

Before being allowed to race again, ALWAYS MY FOLKS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 4 HAPPY BOYS (J545) L Ferraris From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Held up for clear running between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres.

Again approaching the 200 Metres was held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of NOBLE DELUXE.

Horse No 5 NOBLE DELUXE (K052) A Atzeni A Atzeni could offer no excuse for the horse's disappointing performance.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have a respiratory condition which requires further assessment.

Horse No 7 CHEER FOR SOUTH (H178) C L Chau Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Approaching the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when positioned behind COME FAST FAY FAY.

Horse No 14 BINGO BABE (K115) Y L Chung Y L Chung advised that the instructions were to go forward and race in a similar manner to when it barrier trialed on a number of occasions in the lead up to today's race.
