Favourite Fantastic Fun travelled midfield on the rails and just reeled in long-time leader Run Run Timing 60m out for a third Valley 1,650m win in Class Four from 11 starts this term. Punted late Run Run Timing kept on gamely for second after getting softened for the lead by Frantanck. He's holding his form very well of late. Viva Firecracker stayed on well to edge Frantanck for third after a prominent run one off the fence. He had shown hints of ability and appreciated a rise in trip at his second start over this course. Firming late in betting, Frantanck boxed on late to hold down fourth after tracking the pace from gate five under a feather weight. He will be a force to be reckoned with shortly in Class Five. Lakeshore Hero kept on one paced after slotting one off with cover in third from gate 12. It was an OK effort at his first start over the Valley 1,650m. Take Action got going late through the centre to just miss fifth prize money after biding his time five back on the fence. Red Brick Warrior was doing his best work late without menacing after making his run third last from gate one.

Race Three : (607) - WINNING TRY 1650M HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters

Horse No 1 FANTASTIC FUN (J364) H Bowman Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 2 WIN EASE (K384) M L Yeung On jumping was bumped by VIVA FIRECRACKER which shifted in and away from STATE SECURITY.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Horse No 3 STATE SECURITY (L263) L Hewitson Bumped shortly after the start.

A short distance later was steadied when crowded between VIVA FIRECRACKER which shifted out slightly and THE AZURE which was racing tight to the inside of LAKESHORE HERO.

Horse No 5 THE AZURE (J227) C L Chau Jumped only fairly and then made contact with LAKESHORE HERO due to both runners shifting ground.

Between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres raced tight between TAKE ACTION and RED BRICK WARRIOR which was being shifted out to obtain clear running.

Horse No 7 RED BRICK WARRIOR (K580) A Atzeni Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.

Horse No 8 LAKESHORE HERO (J288) M F Poon Bumped with AZURE on jumping due to both runners shifting ground.

M F Poon stated that after the 300 Metres he endeavoured to improve to the outside of FRANTANCK to obtain clear running.

He said as he did so LAKESHORE HERO lay in which required him to make more effort to shift his mount out.

He said when improving to the outside of FRANTANCK, LAKESHORE HERO made contact with VIVA FIRECRACKER which resulted in VIVA FIRECRACKER becoming badly unbalanced and LAKESHORE HERO then having to be steadied to avoid FRANTANCK.

M F Poon was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.

After being shifted to the inside of FRANTANCK to obtain clear running LAKESHORE HERO was then held up for clear running between the 250 Metres and the 150 Metres.

Horse No 9 KOLACHI (J395) H Bentley Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start was crowded by RUN RUN TIMING which shifted out.

H Bentley stated that his mount had difficulty improving on the Home Turn when positioned behind TO INFINITY and once clear in the Home Straight finished the race off only fairly under riding.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 10 RUN RUN TIMING (H403) R Kingscote Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 11 VIVA FIRECRACKER (L065) K Teetan Shifted in at the start and made contact with WIN EASE.

K Teetan stated that the instructions were to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages.

He said when his mount jumped well and was caught wide he was obliged to hold a more forward position than instructed.

He added in the early stages of the Home Straight his mount was racing greenly and lay in.

He said when contacted on the shoulder by LAKESHORE HERO, VIVA FIRECRACKER became badly unbalanced as a consequence.
