Recap by phillip woo

Firming favourite Thunder Prince had a handy run on the fence from gate seven and after hitting the lead 100m out, he was too smart for a first win at his 22nd local start. He deserved that after placing in three of five earlier Valley 1,200m runs this term. Winning Champion kept on well for second after dictating the pace from gate four. He's trending towards a win. Speedy Smartie kept on well for third after sitting three wide without cover from gate 10. He has been racing well across both surfaces all season long. Little Monster ran on nicely down the outside for fourth after making his run second last from gate seven. It was another pleasing effort after a switch to the Valley. King Oberon made ground late near the outside for fifth after travelling wide towards the rear. Winning Money kept on one-paced after a wide trip with cover from midfield. Silver Spurs faded after a prominent run wide without cover from gate 12. Loving Vibes beat a few ridden last from gate 11.
