Winning Ovation had the box-seat run after cruising to the lead 250m out, he was too smart for a fourth win from six starts. He was able to back up a luckless second last start and is destined for bigger and better things. Six Pack ran on well for second after a rails run from midfield. He continues to hold his form very well to fill the frame in his past five starts after a win in January. Punted late Mighty Masts rattled home late to snatch third after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was another fine effort carrying 17lb less in a higher grade following a win. Favourite Salon S found a few too good after dictating the pace from gate four. He had his winning streak halted at four, but it was still a good run by the three-year-old in a higher grade. Drombeg Banner gradually faded after a speed-tracking run from gate 12. It was a creditable effort in loaded Class Two contest.

Horse No 4 MUGEN (H338) J Moreira Shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped by KAHOLO ANGEL.

Between the 350 Metres and the 250 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving between PACKING HERMOD and WE ARE HERO.

After the running of Race 1, the track classification for the turf course was officially changed from "Good" to "Good to Firm" This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective.

As a consequence of this, the official results will show Race 1 being run on a track rated ""Good to Firm"
