Racing Incident Report
Race Three : (636) - FWD INSURANCE ICBC (ASIA) HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 ABSOLUTE HEART (L226) K C Leung Delayed the start when it proved difficult to load.
K C Leung stated that his mount jumped only fairly and as a result he had to make use of it in the early stages to go forward and lead as instructed.
He said as a result when placed under pressure in the Home Straight his mount found it difficult to respond to his riding, particularly under its top weight of 132 lbs and also resented the kickback as it was giving ground in the Home Straight.
Trainer W K Mo concurred with the explanation offered by Jockey Leung and advised that the horse had pleased him prior to today's race.
The barrier manners and performance of ABSOLUTE HEART, a last start winner, were considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, ABSOLUTE HEART will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 MR INCREDIBLE (L232) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 GOLDENTRONICMIGHTY (K002) M L Yeung Leaving the 800 Metres was steadied when crowded by PRECISION MIND which was taken in by HAYDAY (Apprentice H Y Yuen).
Apprentice Yuen was advised to exercise more care.
Horse No 6 SOLID CAR (K058) E Brown Slow to begin.
Briefly held up for clear running near the 400 Metres.
After the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of MASSIVE AWARD which was giving ground.
Horse No 7 APEX GLORY (L265) C L Chau Shortly after the start shifted in and away from OLDTOWN and made contact with HAPPY PROMISE.
Horse No 8 CLASSIC TRIPLE (L212) A Atzeni Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
The performance of CLASSIC TRIPLE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, CLASSIC TRIPLE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 HAPPY PROMISE (L266) J McDonald Shortly after the start was bumped by APEX GLORY which shifted in and away from OLDTOWN.
Leaving the 900 Metres was steadied to avoid APEX GLORY (C L Chau) which shifted in when not quite clear.
C L Chau was advised to exercise more care.
Horse No 11 MASSIVE REWARD (L331) L Hewitson L Hewitson stated that his mount, which was having its first race start, raced greenly and did not appreciate racing amongst other horses.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 PRECISION MIND (L296) M Chadwick Bumped on jumping.
Horse No 13 BETTER AND BETTER (K277) A Badel Jumped only fairly and then was crowded by JACKSON HABIT which shifted in.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 14 MAJESTIC LIFE (L085) B Avdulla Jumped only fairly and then bumped with PRECISION MIND.
Near the 300 Metres was steadied when held up behind CLASSIC TRIPLE which was giving ground.
As a result MAJESTIC LIFE did not obtain clear running until near the 250 Metres.

Mr Incredible settled prominently on the fence before hitting the front 300m out and drawing clear for a second win from three starts. He did it very well in a good time and should hold his own up in grade off a lighter weight. Better And Better came from near last and widest out for second. It was another good run following a win. Solid Car finished nicely for third after switching to the centre for a clear run 160m out following a patient ride fourth last from gate three. It was a solid effort. Happy Promise ran on nicely for fourth after a rails run from midfield. It was an encouraging effort on debut. Hayday ran on steadily for fifth after a one-off trip from midfield. He's not far off a rating bottom. Oldtown made up heaps of ground from last and widest out at the 200m for sixth. It was a better effort for his new trainer with a step back to the 1,200m of a win in October.
