Race Two : (766) - KAI TAK HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 LEGEND WINNER (L032) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 CHEAHA (K567) Y L Chung Bumped on jumping.
Y L Chung stated that the instructions were to settle where comfortable.
He said after commencing well and with his mount being up in distance he was able to obtain a more forward position than its previous race starts.
He added that CHEAHA did not run out the 1650 Metres of tonight's event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 NOBLE PURSUIT (H324) J Moreira Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 6 SURE JOYFUL (G125) M F Poon Bumped on jumping.
Horse No 7 PRECISION HOPE (L047) A Badel Jumped awkwardly.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 VIVA BOSS (L139) M Chadwick Shifted out on jumping and made contact with OUR LUCKY GLORY.
Horse No 10 GOOD LUCK WIN (J135) M L Yeung Despite being ridden along in the early stages failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 OUR LUCKY GLORY (G292) H Bentley On jumping was hampered when taken out by VIVA BOSS which shifted out.
Raced keenly in the early stages and for some distance approaching the 1200 Metres was steadied to avoid TO INFINITY.
H Bentley stated that his mount settled slightly further back than intended but could offer no explanation for the horse's failure to run on in the Home Straight.
Trainer W Y So confirmed the instructions issued.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 VERY GRATEFUL (K396) K C Leung Withdrawn at the Start by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice after it was found to be lame in the left front leg.
Before being allowed to race again, VERY GRATEFUL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 9 YIU CHEUNG VICTORY (J529) P N Wong Withdrawn on 9.6.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore).

Firming favourite Legend Winner tracked the speed from gate 11 before moving to the lead near the 100m and proving too smart for a first win at his ninth local run. He was able to build on a third last start at his initial Valley 1,650m run following a downgrade. Precision Hope ran on nicely for second after a rails run from behind midfield. He's trending towards a win after an improved fourth last start. Sure Joyful just held on for third after dictating the pace from gate nine. He can get away with a race shortly following front-running thirds in two of his past three starts. Viva Boss kept on a onepaced fourth after a box-seat run. It was clearly his best run to date with a step up to 1,650m. Noble Pursuit got going late near the inside for fifth after making his run third last from gate seven. It was a typical performance this season. Cheaha only plodded when asked for an effort following a one-out, one-back run. The change in tactics to sit closer in the run with a step up to 1,650m backfired after hitting the line well for fourth in back-top-back Valley 1,200m runs. Superb Kid ran on without threatening.
