Race Eight : (812) - THE PEARCE MEMORIAL CHALLENGE CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 1 - 1000Meters
Horse No 1 BEAUTY WAVES (H294) K Teetan A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 STELLAR EXPRESS (J186) H Bowman Jumped only fairly and then was crowded between MAGIC CONTROL and BOTTOMUPTOGETHER which shifted out.
Horse No 3 BOTTOMUPTOGETHER (J316) P N Wong On jumping shifted out and made contact with STELLAR EXPRESS.
Horse No 4 COLOURFUL KING (K227) A Atzeni On jumping was bumped by SING DRAGON which jumped awkwardly and shifted in.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 SING DRAGON (J141) M Chadwick Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and was bumped.
Horse No 7 MAGIC CONTROL (J333) A Badel Bumped at the start.

Horse No 8 BRAVE STAR (G268) H T Mo Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 10 SUPERB CAPITALIST (H092) Y L Chung A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 GLOWING PRAISES (L223) M F Poon Between the 150 Metres and the 50 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when racing tight to the outside of STELLAR EXPRESS.
Noted to have sustained an abrasion to the right front leg after the race.

Well backed Colourful King had a midfield spot and ran on nicely through the centre to take control near the 100m for a fourth win and second over the straight 1,000m from 11 starts this term. He loves the 1,000m across both tracks. Favourite Magic Control finished well to grab second after a prominent run. He was able to back up a solid laststart second. Bottomuptogether found a couple too good after leading 150m out following a handy run. He's holding his condition well since Valley 1,000m success in April. Romantic Son came from last at one point to just edge Stellar Express for fourth. It was pleasing effort at his first start over the straight 1,000m. Stellar Express was chasing a sixth win over the straight 1,000m but was gave best 100m out.
